booked these hotels for next year - always wanted to stay there.
looked on Trip advisor & both have pretty poor reviews!
anyone been ?
like to hear the good & the bad (hoping for good though!!)

hi we booked CSR for this year but after reading the trip adviser reports we changed to CBR. I think it was the food court situation that was putting me off. The rooms, pool etc all look good. So now were staying 6 nights CBR 1 night RPR and 7 nights POR. cant wait:cool1::cool1:

we stayed at csr flor our wedding trip alst year, there are some pics in the link below.

I wouldnt go back there as it was too big for us, the pepper market was nice once or twice but more expensive than normal food courts but the food was nicer.

If the resort was smaller it would be better.

I like the salon as well that was nice.

We have chosen pofq this year for our anniversary trip

Weve swapped our reservation to CSR - have you seen the new refurbished rooms (look on this site - refurbished room photos are down the left hand column http://coronado_springs.tripod.com/)?? They are really nice with two queen beds, none of the other moderates have this. For us as a couple I dont mind the resort being so big, and the resort has a lot more facilites - gym, coffee shop, internet cafe, business facilties etc than the other moderates which we prefer. Were on the DDP so the extra cost at Pepper Market wont matter to us (and we prefer the choice and it sounds a bit more civilised than the normal food courts).

Depends on what you after - if you like a small resort I wouldnt stay at CSR as it looks like there may be a bit of walking from one end to the other :).

i dont remember there being an internet cafe when were we there last sept. we used the interent in our room

I've read somewhere ..... that there is a small internet cafe - it might be in the convention centre, I think its free for the first couple of mins and then you have to pay?

We stayed at the Dolphin in 06 and really enjoyed it, the location is excellent right on the boardwalk area. It is a nice stroll to either Epcot or DHS if you dont fancy the boat. The rooms are not Disneyfied theme but we didnt mind that. You can still have purchases sent to the hotel but you cannot charge anything to yuor room outside of the hotel. The pool is great with lots of recreational equipment around.
The only thing is it is a convention resort and the lobby area bar can get mobbed when they all finish thier day and hit the bar for a couple. Overall a great place :thumbsup2

We have stayed at the Swan twice previously and at the Dolphin last Christmas. We really like both. Location is excellent for Epcot and DHS, and you can walk to the Boardwalk in 5 minutes (10-15 to Epcot World Showcase, 15-20 to DHS - or take the boat). Rooms were very nice with 2 queen beds in Swan and 2 doubles in Dolphin. Starbucks coffee in room, minibar at Dolphin, empty fridge at Swan. Didn't like $10 a day for parking but also paid the $10 a day resort fee for internet/2 bottles water.

Stayed at POR previously, and for not a lot more, these are much better quality. Dining options are far better at S/D, and the pools are also very pleasant.

Didn't miss the Disney theming (to be honest we just want comfort to relax when we get back to the hotel), DDP or ME (we always have a car). Still get the EMH and Disney transportation which are the main things for us.

They can get busy with conventioners, but they don't bother you too much during the day (though the bars and table service restaurants can get crowded during the evening - same at CSR I suspect).

Thanks for all the comments everyone :)

even though trip advisor havnt been that kind - i like to make my own opinion,
travelling are me, DH & DD who will be almost 16 - so the lack of disney theming doesnt bother me or them, its kind of a more adult trip, we did pop last year & it felt too hectic for me - so i think a bigger resort like CSR will feel better & less crowded - plus really wanted a gym :) (sad i know)
i did see pics of the refurbished rooms - look lovely

we looked around dolphin & i loved the location so hopefully all will be well!

feel free to keep the comments coming - keeps the 14 month wait feeling nearer ;)
