CSR completely booked from 8/22 to 8/29???

Have attempted to get ressies for CSR for this week several times to no avail. Anybody know what's going on there that week? Do you think there's any possibility of anything opening up between now and then?

We're booked for CBR, but after reading so many negative reviews, I'm starting to wonder if it's a good choice!

I'm guessing that CSR may have a business conference or two that has booked up the entire resort. If that's the case you may want to shy away from CSR. I personally don't like to see too many suits on vacation. Don't let me sway your decision though!

I would give CBR a shot. I know there have been some negative reviews, but to me CBR has great theming and is very relaxing. The only two drawbacks I see are the size and possibly the feature pool. I believe CBR is the largest resort on Disney property. You might want to request a room close to Old Port Royale (main building). As for the feature pool it is scheduled for maintenance beginning in January of 2008.

The themed pool, Old Port Royale Caribbean Beach will be closed for refurbishment between January 2008 and June 2008. Exact dates will be posted once available.

If swimming is going to be high on your list of must do's you might want to avoid CBR; however, it is January and swimming may not even be a possibility.

Don't worry about the bad reviews at CBR (people tend to stress the negative in things...rather than point out the positives). It's a very nice and popular resort. The rooms are bit larger than the other moderates and have very cheerful decor. We loved the ambience and the food court was a staple of our stay.

CBR is great. I've stayed there twice and loved it, and I'm sure you will, too.

The rooms there are slightly larger than an CSR, by the way.

The main location is not CSR this year. They moved to the Gaylord Palms this year.

Good thought. This is a useful idea for any WDW resort, not just for CSR and conventions. It worked for me once to move from POR to POFQ, where I really wanted to be. I called once a day every day and got lucky about a week into it -- there was an opening and I grabbed it!!!

I second, or third the thumbs up for CBR. We just came back in June and loved it. The only issue we had during our stay that our air conditioner was turned off one day while we were gone and came back to a very hot room. I left a note for Mousekeeping and had no other problems.

I was trying for three months solid to get dates from 8/23-09/01 but could not.

CSR was totally booked. We had to go to POR instead.

I would try about a month before the date you want to check in. If rooms are being held for a convention, that is usually when they are released.
