CSR being refurbished...

The CM shared some infos on CSR. They started 2 months ago. They are now doing Casitas. He said it has been 5 years since it opened and he said that it is time to do some make-over. He said that they will do some painting and changing the carpets. If I remember correctly, he said that they are also going to change the furniture a little bit.

They are starting from Casitas, then Ranchos and then Cabanas.

He even said to me "You can ask the front desk and they will tell you." Not that I didn't believe him. I did. Then when we rented the surrey bike we kind of stop at every each area...sure enough we saw that there were some men working on the rooms with their paint brushes. I didn't think it needed any make over cause our room was very clean. The carpet spot less and wall is ok. The armoire has a little nick, no big deal. But the CM said it is time for refurbishment and they want to keep up with the rooms. They just want an excellent condition room. This is great!

Yippee!!!! CSR is my favorite resort. If only ... the rooms were as nice as the ones at CBR. Glad to hear they are working on it!!!!

I wonder if this is why there was that one person who stayed in the Casitas and said her room was drab and that the bedspread she described didn't match anything we have seen. Maybe they will be doing a bit of color changing as well.

Any idea when they might be done? I would assume they would be done with all three areas by December That would be such an added bonus four our stay.

When I was there in August of 2002, they were re-painting the exterior of the Casitas section, so I guess that was part of the rehab as well.
