We are staying at CSR the day before our cruise on halloween. we need to trick or treat with our 2 kids that night. Any ideas? I heard DTD or BW or Camp ground and camp fire or haunted hayride. Is there any thread or place to be directed to that would have activities listed and times etc.? anyone done something last year or previous years you could share? The Halloween party is too late at MK and I think it is sold out.

now that I'm back, I will answere my own question. It was great! In 2004 we went to MNSSHP and the kids were disappointed in the sour balls and little rubber spider rings and sweet tarts. Some choc bars but not many and all were small. We are hesitant to do the Party again after this. I as the mom loved the party and the mk and all the shows, but kids are kids and they associate halloween with treats. Maybe there is better candy now at MNSSHP???

This year we were at csr. they had halloween pinata's at the beach full of candy. lots and lots of candy. In the afternoon around 1 or 2 they started breaking pinata's. They must have had about 4, bats and ghosts. My son broke a purple bat and carried this thing with us for the next 5 days thru, 3 day dcl and back home on the plane. It is now in his room hanging on his wall. I did not encourage this but he loved the thing as he broke it. My kids rec'd some candy there at the pool. We had planned to go dtd to trick or treat in our costumes but they had something at csr. They had cap hook and smee posing with the kids, lots of stations for candy and crafts. My kids were given generous amounts of candy from these tables, choc bars, nerds, skittles, lots of choc pumpkins and monsters, candy corns. they gave each kid fist fulls of candy. We then were dissapointed at dtd. they had a magician and dj but it was so crowded. the lines in and out of the stores were long and then they only gave out a taffy on a stick or dum dum or small now and later. No fist fulls of candy. I suppose it is realevent due to the crowds. csr had a such a small crowd of kids that I wonder if they would have had such generous portions of candy at say the POP where I am sure there were larger amounts of kids.

We left dtd and went to boardwalk. They had pumpkin donald and farmer mickey to pose for pictures. They had boardwalk entertainment such as magicians, jugglers etc. they had scavenger hunt and dj. Also had tables to get candy and crafts, cookie decorating. the candy was not as generous as CSR.

All in all Halloween candy was just as large a loot as if we had stayed home which made the kids happy.

Thanks for the info. My husband and I will be at CSR next Halloween with the kids (10/25/08 - 11/1/08). My kids will be excited to hear that they provided a lot for the kids. Thanks!
