We're probably flying AirTran and will be staying at CSR. The last return flight we had on AirTran, we were in the last seats in the back of the plane without windows. VERY CLAUSTROPHOBIC!!! :sad2: When you fly with AirTran, you can't choose your seats until 24 hours in advance. If staying at CSR, would I be able to select my seats 24 hours in advance with guest services/concierge?

I had the same issue with Southwest. Just go to the business center and they will let you use one of the computers at no charge (travel arrangements are free). You can print your boarding passes there as well at no charge. That way as soon as the 24 hours hits, you can begin the process.

Great! However, I'm not familiar with the "business center" (or CSR for that matter -- 1st time there :cool1:). Is this located at CSR? If so, where?

Actually you can choose your seats. It cost $6 a seat to get pre-assigned seating. We too are coming home on Airtran and it's important to us that we sit with the grandkids, so we paid to select our seats for our return flight. Everyone has the same opportunity to do this. And since we pay extra to select our seats in advance, there is no way we would be willing to give our seats up for families who decided it wasn't important enough to buy in advance. You can call Airtran and take care of this or you can do it online.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware this could be done. Its definitely worth the extra $12.

To get to the business center, take the first right past the Pepper Market as you head to the convention center.

I was able to get seat assignments with Air Tran in October of 2007 on their website. They do charge you $10 per person which may be annoying to some but I feel well worth knowing I had the same seat going to Orlando and flying home verses fighting for a window seat on other airlines.

In addition I was able to go to the concierge desk the day before to get my boarding pass.

Yes it was $5 per person each way..Once you pay the fee you can keep changing..

They charge $6 per person. The price just went up from $5. $20 for exit row seats. I don't know where the $10 came from.

Maybe when the poster mentioned $10, they were talking about roundtrip (when it was $5 -- which was recently).
