CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

Hey Nebo! I have a lot of catching up to do...been away from DIS for a couple of weeks with end of school year junk. But had to come on today to congratulate your White Sox...looks like you guys are getting Kevin Youkilis (our favorite Red Sox player). You are getting a heck of a ball player and a great guy. He will be missed here in Boston. I'm sure he'll do well out in Chicago. :thumbsup2

Hope to catch up tonight...I've got many pages to read.

I just heard that too, Nancy,,, we definately need a 3rd baseman. The pitcher Stewart you're getting is fair,,,,and Lilibridge shows great promise at times,,,,untill he keepst trying to hit every pitch out of the park.
I just don't see how my sox can afford Kevin.

There you have it. Nebo said I was an excellent writer. I have proof!

Could you substitute ipecac for the butter?

I don't want to know what that is, do I?

Nope. Traded it in for "I am the man from Kent." T-shirt.

Sorry,, I have a limited limerick listings lighting up in my mind.

I remember a long time ago, I heard a comedian say something about that. (Might've been Carlin). It went something like this...

Scientists now say hair dryers cause cancer. They aimed a hair dryer on high heat at a mouse. They left it on overnight. The next morning when the scientists came to work, the mouse was dead.

Must be cancer.

sounds just like the "Jump, frog, jump" joke. You all knkow that one, right?

:worship:

Boy,,,,somebody Better have acknowledged that line....

I'm hoping they came away with at least an understanding of what a good actress can do. Charlize Theron steals the movie with her great portrayal of the evil queen. Kristen Stewart? meh.

Yeah,, absolutely Stewart is plain and boring,,,, but ,, wow,,, I have always Loved Charlize,,,,but she was just SO over the top in this movie,,,,,she didn't look near as cute as she always does, either,,, like in Devil's Apprentice.
A really cool old Charlize Theron film nobody had heard of,,, is "Two Days in the Valley", a weird indy type film with an incredible all star cast,,,, James Spader,,, Eric Stoltz,, Jeff Daniels,,,Paul Mazursky, Teri Hatcher,,, Louise Fletcher,, Danny Aiello,,,,Marsh Mason,,,,a fun movie.

pretty much any emotion you can possibly think of:
stewart.jpg

That's sfunny,,,, and I'm expecting similar greatness from the girl who plays Katniss Everdeen.

That's all right. You tried. Sort of a diamond in the rough.

So you tried to replace some parts, huh? Just out of curiosity... which parts?

Well,, two lenses recently,,,then there is all the hair that is constantly having to be replaced in the bathtub drain when it clogs up....

I am not childish! I'm not! I'm not! I'm not! Moooommmmm!!!!

QueenBetsy, that's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that!

Nebs & Pecans... you two crack me up.. I never read the Twilight books... but I saw the first movie and was BORED TO TEARS! :sad1: Her acting is EXACTLY like that!

When can we expect the next chapter Neebs?

A friend of mine at work brought me these..... That's my kind of chips!

Well I managed to resize the picture, now it's too small. In case you can't read it, they're BLT chips!

Not good at all. We've had half a bag in the cupboard for 2 weeks. Nobody wants to finish it off.

All caught up (and I didn't even miss a chapter). First of all Happy Anniversary!! What a wonderful present having those two handsome boys back in your life. They look like very nice young men. Happy belated Father's Day too!

Betsey, I'm so sorry to hear about Lance, but I'm glad he'll be okay. I only knew about aspirin for heart attacks, so this board really is educational!

And Nebo, I have a feeling Valentine and Youk did not like each other much and that is probably how you can afford him. I'm not sure I like the sound of a "fair" pitcher, be we sure need some help in that area. Good luck to the White Sox, we'll be following them in our house now (well at least my oldest son & I will).

I loved the KStew range of emotions!! I have not seen the Twilight movies, but she doesn't seem like she's worth the hype. I hope to see the Snow White movie on DVD (I have two young boys - if it's not animated or it doesn't have super heroes, I don't see it). I love Charlize Theron.

Can't wait for more adventures and a chapter would be nice too! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

QueenBetsy, how scary! I had a mini-stroke back in December, driving home from work even (good thing I was able to pull over). Aspirin is now in my daily routine as well. As drugs go, you couldnt get anything cheaper at least.

:woohoo: I think I've missed your last couple of TR's because I was taking a break from the Dis. Who wants to read about going to Disney and having a good time when you know there's no way you'd be back for a while?

Can't wait to read more!

I am cursed with the same thing! I go through a major funk after we return and can't bring myself back here. I missed a few of his reports too.

Nebs:
I had no idea that was you calling me, I said to Tim, who is calling me at 10 o'clock at night?

I heard you say my name and I just rolled laughing!:rotfl: You forgot about the hour time difference didn't you!

That's ok, I didn't think we'd chat that long, but just like your TR's its so easy to get caught up in the fun.

Have you made up a schedule yet for next trip?

We just got back from DL, and a few things made me think of you all. I heard "Gitchie Goo means I love you" for the first time (during a Phineas and Ferb parade), and was telling DH how that played out in this TR. While waiting to board our doom buggies on HM, when the ghost says, "We have 999 happy haunts, but there's room for a thousand. Any volunteers?" the teen boy behind us yelled, "I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute!" Funny stuff.
And Neebs, you don't dress to match Smidgy? DH and I coordinate our Disney tees. When we were walking back to the hotel the other night, we passed a young couple, and I heard her say, "Can we get matching shirts?" I would have loved to hear the rest of that conversation. Not everybody is as easygoing and fashion apathetic as my DH. Any day he doesn't have to wear a tie, he's happy to wear whatever.

Well,, Becks,,,, that's a great question,,i haven't even started the next chapter yet.

Not good at all. We've had half a bag in the cupboard for 2 weeks. Nobody wants to finish it off.

Reggular chips have a short shelf life hear in Smidgy and Neboland,,, but if it's something neither of us likes,,,, ok,,, if Smidgy doesn't like it,,,, it will sit on the top of the fridge until the next appearance of Haley's Comet. Or the Hamner/Brown Comet. :rolleyes1

Nice update, nice read to end my weekend.

Thank you Marrrrrissa,,,, ( I like to roll my "r's"). No new ticker yet?

Betsey, I'm so sorry to hear about Lance, but I'm glad he'll be okay. I only knew about aspirin for heart attacks, so this board really is educational!

To be honest,,, I forgot about that feud between those two,,, and also to be honest,,,, I cant STAND Bobby Valentine,, how strange it all is now,,, Ozzie is in Miami with Buerhle and Zambrano,,, you have Valentine now,,, Theo is playing house with the Cubbies,,, and we have Ventura guiding the White Sox. I've alwyas like Robin,,,time will tell if he's a good manager or not.
You need to bring back Wade Boggs to manage your Sox,,, what's Yas been up to? Believe it or not,,, I still remember rooting for him and Rice and Elston and Lonborg when they lost in the '67 series against the Cards,, heck,,, Yaz won the triple crown that year,,,, and it's never been done again SINCE!

sorry,,, I'm a bit of a baseball fan

Ponzi nailed it on K Stewart, I didn't read the books but I did watch the first Twililight with Smidgy,,,,, and I told here she'd have to pay me to watch any more of them.
Do you know that she earned more money than any other actress last year,,,, yep,,, and I don't mean in box office reciepts,,, I mean in pay!

Kristen Stewart,,, not Smidgy.

Smidgy came in 3rd.
We're still waiting for the royalties checks from her appearance on the Great Bible Baffle!:rotfl:

QueenBetsy, how scary! I had a mini-stroke back in December, driving home from work even (good thing I was able to pull over). Aspirin is now in my daily routine as well. As drugs go, you couldnt get anything cheaper at least.

I have been taking two aspirin every morning for the last 10 years when I started having chest pains,,,, gee,,, I hope you can't build up a resistance or immunity to them like you can for antibiotics.

I am cursed with the same thing! I go through a major funk after we return and can't bring myself back here. I missed a few of his reports too.

Monica,,, you really should read the first 4 chapters of
my last report, POTC, On Stranger Rides,,,not because the writing was anything special,, but because stuff actully happened worth reading about!

Nebs:

Have you made up a schedule yet for next trip?

Geesh,,,, it was quarter to nine on my clock,,,, ok,,, sorry,,, I did think about the time change,,, but for some stupid reason I thought you were above me, still in the central zone.
No, I haven't gotten to a schedule yet,,, Diane is after me to do that too but ist's so hard when there are now others involved,,,, I don't want to come off as controlling to my son and his wife,,, not only that,,, it's the absolutely hardest time of the year to get and accurate park hours tiems schedule,,,, EVERY site is different!, especilly when it comes to EMH times. Now we just got the word that they want to do a couple of character meals,,,,,OH NOOOOO,, not the dreaded character meals!

Expensive, and mess up the whole days schedule.
But that's ok,,, I understand, especially with peoople that havent gone there much,,,,it' just that I KNOW there is going to be a lot more stuff we never got to,,, when we run out of days.
The worst things are the shows,,,, like Busch Gardens and SeaWorld,,,, they time the big hitters for the same time,,, so you WILL be there all day if you want to catch all the shows:
Beauty and the Beast is always when the Indy Stunt Show is on,,, which is at the same time in the afternoon when the Lights, Motors, Action Show plays,,, just like Finding Nemo and Festivus of the Lion King play at the same time too,,,, which is also when the bird show,, Flights of Bird Droppings plays.

Danielle,,, I'm weird, and I know that. Sometimes I embarrass easily and I don't want to do the cutesy "Aw look,, they dressed alike,,, aw,,,," where other times I not only don't mind it, I like it, heck,,, I've even been known to hold her hand in PUBLIC!
And I could never have worked at a job where you had wear a tie,,,, I cannot stand anything around my neck at all that might touch my adam's apple,, I have one of those types that stick say out like you have a golf ball stuck in your throat,, and I've given away many t-shirts because the neck was a little too tight. For me,,, the ideal t-shirt is a v-neck,,,, but those can be hard to find.

Sorry for being MIA, Nebo - had an operation, still recovering (girl stuff ). I loved the chapter named something martian and I have to say that there's a little clip you can put on your pants now that repels yellowjackets, or your bathing suit I guess :lmao:

Looking forward to the next chapter (yes, that's a super-subtle hint ::yes::)!

That only applies to hot fudge sundaes, which falls on...

Well,, I'm going to start by letting your dangler in that sentence slip on by, it sounds like even now, you are under the tutelage of pain killers, so you get a free pass this time.

That only applies to hot fudge sundaes, which falls on...

a Tuesday.

Back to Lisa of the North,,,, my quotes got all tangled up...

Sorry Lisa about the chapter wait,,, looks like Thursday for a new one. And hope yoou are all right from your "girl stuff" surgery.
See? Now this is an excellent example on why men are "supposedly" ignorant and oblivious on what happens with a female body. You just might find that if we WEREN"T talked down to like this, we are fully capable of compassion and understanding when it comes to referring to anatomical body parts that can often lead to embarrassing conversations in public. We really aren't that shallow and can even be quick studies when it comes to learning about a situation or new disease that is causing someone we care about discomfort.

I even remember 34 years ago,,, we took a childbearing class that was NOT the popular one amy young couples were taking,,,Lamaze,,, but we took a class every tuesday named Gamper's method, and yes, I was there every week, and got pre-ty darn good at shelf breathing myself if I may pat my self on the back for a moment. And I was up on all the words and phrases,,, from how dialated she was, to how annhilated I was going to be later on tonight.

And, in my usual manner,, I tried to take the situation and find some laughst in it,,, which my wife truly and duly, really with feeling, HATES!
I took the grave out of gravid,,,, uh uh,,, bad choice.

I put the Jest in Jestation,,,, (gestation),, uh uh,,, bad choice

There,, sorry, didn't mean to go on so much, but I feel like I was talking for all "mankind" out there and it needed to be said. What I really mean, is we, being men, are always caring and concerned when it comes to women we feel close to,,, doesn't have to be only a spouse, friendship can evoke the same concerned emotions in us,,,, but we need to be given a chance first to be treated as intelligent adults,,,,not as the kids that are reading Highlights in the waiting room.
When we are given this opportunity of being spoken to on equal terms and not being talked down to,,, we just ,, may,,, surprise you!

MEN? What Say You?

And now that it's been said,,one question.
does the female part you had to have work on,,, well,,,

does it rhyme with Mulva?

Dolores?

:lmao:

crap, ten thousand years of progress with the opposite sex wiped out in one fell swoop!

You actually had me going there for a while

Well,, I'm going to start by letting your dangler in that sentence slip on by, it sounds like even now, you are under the tutelage of pain killers, so you get a free pass this time.

Thanks, just this once. Drugs are good! You should've sent me some Vikes!

Back to Lisa of the North,,,, my quotes got all tangled up...[/B]

"Lisa of the North". I like that! Except I'm not sure I can use that because I'm just barely in the North - we're like 5 minutes from 2 border crossings into WA State :thumbsup2

Yeah, yeah, so I should empower you about my surgery, right? I'll tell you what I had done if you really want to know - or you could just ask Smidgy, she knows :rotfl:

I didn't think your TR was the place to discuss such things, but I'm always willing to share the nitty-gritty details :rolleyes1

And now that it's been said,,one question.

Dolores?

:lmao:

Yep, you just threw all that good stuff right out the window :sad2: And no, it doesn't rhyme with mulva or delores. But it does rhyme with pharmaceuterus :rotfl:

PS: I love how you phrased that - "the female part you had to have worked on". Spoken... um... written like an engineer/mechanic LOL

Don't you just hate when real life gets in the way of a good TR? I feel like I should be sent to the corner for being AWOL, but hopefully there's enough room for a little slack for me. It has been so busy lately!

So Nebo, I have one last confession to make regarding our most recent trip that does have relevance to you in a medication dependency kinda way. Our last Disney trip was a doozy for me in more ways than one as I was desperately addicted to.....no, not the clueless groom, but rather to Phenergan. The heat was pretty intense and I was taking a few Phenergan a day. I loved those Phenergan on a similar level as you love vikes......seriously.

I don't want to have to drag out my trusty 2x4 so I'll go ahead and spell it out for you. The Buzz family is expecting a new member around Thanksgiving! :goodvibes Yep, when I see you and Smidgy in August, we will be past the halfway point! I think it is so funny to see essentially a page of your TR is devoted to "womanly issues"!! :rotfl2:

I can identify. I am trying to tentatively put together a sample schedule for my parents to show them a typical day at Disney and I don't want to appear controlling either. They haven't been since I was 12(dark ages ago! ;)) and I want to take into account a "newcomer's pace and "eye" for the parks.

You know, DS and DD have never expressed any interest in character meals, though I completely understand the draw for kids and adults. The shows in the parks can be frustrating to catch due to the timing issues, just like you said. We decided to watch the Indy stunt show in May, it's a DS favorite, but it started raining heavily and we only got to see the first two scenes. DS was not too happy that one of his favorite parts, the airplane scene, had to be skipped. :sad2:
