I asked this on another thread, but thought it might get overlooked. I have a hard time finding food for myself and my dd at DHS, we are vegetarians and she hates those nasty crustables they serve everywhere and usually we try to find her some mac-n-cheese.

Anyway, I would like to get a veggie pita at Starring Rolls, but they don't have anything for her (or the rest of our family) and Studio Catering Co. seems to be a good fit for the rest of them.

Can I get my CS meal at Starring Rolls to GO (we will be on the dining plan if this matters) and then just take it over to Studio Catering where they will get their meals? :confused3

Personally I wouldn't take other food into another restaurant but that is just me. What I would do is either eat before the rest of my party or after.
If there is seating outside, then that is different. I am not as familar with DHS as with the other parks.
Of course people will tell you to do what you want you are on vacation, but I try and follow what I would do (what is appropriate) in my everyday life.
So if you are a person who would take Wendy's into McDonalds and eat it, then you shouldn't have a problem.
I however couldn't do that.

I would have no problem doing this. Counter service , so tips are not involved and it is all WDW owned anyway.

I wouldn't take CS food into a TS but to another CS, sure. The only thing I'd wonder about is if they have any packaging that is easy to carry and will keep the food warm (if it's the sort that needs to be kept warm - veggie pita doesn't sound like it)

Once you buy CS food it doesn't matter where you take it to eat it.

That sounds fine to me. I dont think there's a big distinction from one Disney CS place to the next and see no reason why your family can't eat together in this type of situation.

My dd wanted Toy Story pizza and the rest of us wanted Studio Catering Co. We ordered her food and brought it over. I don't see any problem at all with doing that at a CS. It is all WDW. I'm not sure if they have packaging for takeout at SR, but I assume they would. We got meals to go last year (sandwiches) at the bakery at MK and they had plastic containers to put them in. :goodvibes

There should be no problem. We often eat at different CS locations and have never really thought about anything being wrong with it. You'll be fine. Eat what you like. Have a great vacation!

I agree with a lot of the other posters, it's CS it's not TS. Like one other person said, the only thing I would worry about it that the food stays hot/cold.

We do this quite often in Epcot around World Showcase and never have had a problem. My son has gotten nachos to go from Mexico, I've gotten egg rolls and pot stickers in China, and we enjoyed those back in America while my husband got a cheeseburger.

It won't be a problem at the Studios either. When you order at Starring Rolls, just tell them it's "to go" and they will package it as best they can for you. Some places have containers, some will wrap it differently.

We once got a turkey leg "to go". They double wrapped it in foil and then we put it in a zipper bag we brought along. Kept quite well for us. If Disney can do that, they can do anything.

I don't think anyone would care or notice if you purchase a counter service meal at one location and decide to eat it at another counter service location, because someone else in your group wanted to eat there and you wanted something different.

We have had to do this before with my MR. Picky eater -Counter service who cares or will even notice -

I don't really like CS food in general, ie hamburgers, chicken nuggets etc, so sometimes I have order my food at one place and met my family at another place (where they would order) and dine with them. The majority of the food is order in the CS we are eating in. I have ordered a sandwich, drink and dessert at Starring Rolls (they have take out containers) and met my family at the location they want to eat. I used to just go where ever they go and order whatever they have and be miserable because I don't like the food. This is much, much better.

And I agree, there are certain things that are difficult to transport. But a sandwich, a pastry and a drink is doable. Actually, I have taken a hot item meal from the Yakitori house to the Liberty Inn (CS at American). It was a very short walk, so it was no problem.

I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think there is anything wrong with going from one Disney CS to another Disney CS and eating with the family. :)
