CS Resturants - Are they all the same?

Are there 'good' ones and 'bad' ones? I have never paid much attention to the CS restaurants, and have assumed they are all pretty much the same...

You'll find opinions on CS locations are very subjective. One thing that most will agree with, the CS at value resorts are much larger and have more selections that CS at deluxe resorts. Moderates are somewhere in the middle. (And themed resorts like AKL have "themed" CS with African inspired entrées as well as chicken nuggets.)

In the parks everyone has got a favorite in each park. For example, CHH is popular in MK (I love it!), Flame Tree in AK and so on.

I recommend reading dining reviews and looking at the food picture posts to get an idea what places will suit your family's tastes.

That would be far from the truth; there are some CS restaurants that stand out from the others IMHO.

At Magic Kingdom: I prefer Cosmic Rays. Decent food and nice variety.

At Epcot: I actually like two; Sunshine Season with excellent food and an equally impressive selection and Tangierine Cafe and their Shawarma platter located in the Morroco pavillion.

At Animal Kingdom: I like Flame Tree Barbeque.

At Hollywood Studios: Unfortunately not a thing. Horrible would be how I describe the CS at this park especially ABC Commissary. Starring Rolls is ok but nothing more than cold cut sandwiches, and only a couple of choices.

Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich makes an excellent sandwich beyond just a cold slab of lunch meat. I also recommend Wolfgang Puck Express.

These are only my opinion; however, I personally feel they all stand out from among the other CS in WDW and go beyond just being average or as some cs's just flat out aweful.

The range from average to really good. Our favs are:

-The places in World Showcase at Epcot are fun to try...they have chinese, japanese, mexican, fish and chips, etc....

-Columbia Harbour House (Very good) or Cosmic Rays (good) in MK

-Flame Tree BBQ in AK

-HWS has Starring Rolls and ABC Commisary are ok...not great , but good. We also liek Pizza Planet. THe pizza is ok and iti s a fun plce...like the movie

-In DTD, Wolfgand Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich are really good!

- We also like the Mara at the AK resort. They have zebra domes ! YUM!

The CS's are all over the place as far as food and quality. Like the PP said, we all have our faves. Here's mine:

MK - Columbia Harbour House. LOVE it.

AK - Yak and Yeti CS. I like asian food.

Epcot - Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. Also really like Japan and France.

DHS - none. (I'd much rather hop the boat to Epcot and eat at WS.)

DTD - agree with Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express
