Pizzafari has an awesome Hot Italian Deli Sandwich. I plan on making mine vegetarian this year. It's an awesome sandwich!

Breakfasts? I think all the resort CS is the same but our favorite breakast CS is from Main Street Bakery for cinnamon buns as big as your head, the best ham egg and cheese croissants ever!

Burgers? Ick, they are all nasty

Pizza? WPE in DTD

Chicken tenders? WPE in DTD

Hot sandwiches? The muffaletta from POFQ, the veggie cuban at Sunshine Seasons or WPE in DTD

Desserts? Anything from the bakery at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot

Everything else I'd say Wolgang Puck Express :rotfl:. I'm addicted to that place!

Best Counter Service anywhere is Wolfgang Puck's Express in DTD.

DHS is notorious for mediocre CS food. But Starring Rolls I think is under appreciated. They have great chocolate croissants for breakfast and good sandwiches and desserts. It's run by the same people as Hollywood & Vine.

MK, we like Cosmic Ray's and Columbia Harbor House.

AK, we haven't been very happy with Flametree, but we have gone twice. I think we are going to try Yak & Yeti's.

Epcot, Sunshine Seasons is great and has a lot of variety.

Remember to take everything you read on the boards with a grain of salt. What one person thinks is the worst thing they ever ate you will find someone else who had the best thing ever there. There are very few places that are across the board horrible.

For burgers - Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bills have never failed us. Plus both places have great toppings bars to fill up the burgers with.

For Breakfasts - we like snacky breakfasts so we usually do Starring Rolls - DHS or Main Street Bakery.

Chicken Tenders and fries are pretty much all the same at each place. Just watch to make sure they are not all ready sitting under a heat lamp when you get them.

Sandwiches at Sunshine Seasons are really good. Never had good luck with the Chinese food here though - made with chicken thighs and had a bone in a plate on two different occasions.:sad2: We also liked the Italian Sandwich at Pizzafari and ordered the salad on the side so we could all share it.

There really are some great choices for food if you do a little bit of research before hand.

We also liked Cosmic Ray's for the chicken & ribs, Pecos Bill's Taco Salads and any country in Epcot has good platters that we usually split all of these with 1 adult and 1 child they are so large.

Hope this helps some.

I completely agree. I've pretty much eaten at every WDW restaurant but I've never come on here for suggestions for ADR's. I read the menu and if it sounds good to me, I give it a try and might come on here for suggestions on what people really liked to eat at a restaurant/snack place but not on the restaurant itself. Every restaurant has bad nights every once in awhile and not everybody will like everything.

Breakfasts? I really like a sticky bun from Main Street Bakery to start my day
Burgers? DH really enjoyed his Bacon Cheese Burger from CS at POR
Pizza? ????
Chicken tenders? ???
Hot sandwiches? ?????
Desserts? I think this is a toss up between POR bakery ( although the other resorts may be similar but the cupcakes were delish ) Starring Rolls ( again cupcakes ) and The CS in France ( mmm France )

Pizza: Wolfgang Puck Express

Hot Sandwich: The Hot Italian Deli sandwich at Pizzafari is delicious!

Boardwalk Bakery has great desserts & outstanding, and huge, deli-type sandwiches.

I love Pop's food court. They have a lot of great choices! Are you on the dining plan? If so , you can order a large pizza and it only uses 2 credits. Have them stamp your receipt and after you enjoy your pizza you can get ice cream from the bakery. we have done the milkshake and the sundae. The sundae is HUGE and comes with all the toppings!
For burgers- To me the best are at sci-fi, but at a counter service I would choose pecos bill
Desserts- Hands down france bakery!

Thanks everyone - very helpful as usual! And, true, one man's trash is another man's treasure. :)

Breakfasts? Main St. Bakery and Sunshine Seasons. Both have some healthy options as well as lots of sugar filled delightful offerings.;)
Burgers? They are all the same at the CS places...the only saving grace is to order one from a place that has a toppings bar.
Pizza? We have yet to find a decent pizza in the parks. I do love the flatbreads at the Poly and POP foodcourt. The pizza at WPE @ DTS is fabulous.
Chicken tenders? Kids enjoyed them at 50's Prime Time..CS places seem to all have the same...
Hot sandwiches? Earl of Sandwich @ DTS is the best...we also LOVE the sandwiches at the Plaza
Desserts? Sunshine Seasons, and Main St. Bakery.

Do NOT be scared by the 'worst things eaten at Disney' thread. For every food in the World you will find 100 people who love it and 100 people who hate it. :)

Wolfgang Pucks Express is the best CS value in the World! :thumbsup2 The menu is so varied you can eat there often and not have the same thing, and it's all good!

Aside from that, I agree with pp...we have good and not-so-good meals at many CS places. Our faves:

Sunshine Seasons at the Land (Epcot) - I like their breakfasts too.
Artists' Palette at SSR (which gets ripped a lot, but we have had good food here)
The Mill (?) at POR...used to eat here a lot in our pre-DVC days, and we always had good food and lots of it. Long lines though!
At the parks, we generally eat wherever we happen to be closest to at the time...they are all pretty much the same, but we like the atmosphere in some more than others.

:thumbsup2Another fan of WPE- I can't eat there enough. I've never gotten there for bfats but always want to! As for burgers, I usually don't get them at CS, but I have to say the bacon ch burger was pretty good at PB's in MK. For bfast, yet another vote for the cinnamon rolls at MK. The pastries in both France (pics on the TR) and Norway make excellent late bfast or snacks. I also like Tangeriene Cage or Sunshine Season in Epcot (pics on my TR). DHS doesn't have great CS, but I love the carrot cake cookie at The Writer's Stop, so that would be a good bfast for me!
