Am I the only one who hates almost every CS place in WDW? Don't get me wrong, I love EoS and WGP as much as the next person, but other than that I couldn't fathom eating that kind of food for a week! I really do not mean this in a snarky way either, nor am I a true foodie. Maybe I have done it wrong in the past? idk. I can handle a few breakfast cs's but anything else would drive me mad. Am I nuts?

No, you are not nuts but different people have different tastes in food. I love salads and the ceasar salads that many of the places are very good, IMO.

Pecos Bill's has a chicken wrap that was similiar to the salad so when I add in that, I am set for the week!

Of course, I am also someone who doesn't mind eating the same things over and over (matter of fact, I prefer it) so for me, it works out fine.

I'm the same way usually. I love what I love, and usually eat the heck out of it. I honestly could eat EoS 5 out of 7 days. But the rest of the stuff at most CS's does NOT appeal to me at all. ESPECIALLY pecos bills. that place was actually the nail in the cs coffin for me :rotfl: But yes, I do get different strokes. was just wondering the appeal to some :flower3:

I think there are OK with some that are way better than others. We love Cosmic Rays, Sunshine Season, and Columbia Harbor House. I also found that the food at PORFQ CS was also pretty good.

It don't bother me to eat at CS places at all. Fine dining in disney to us is the character meals,t-rex that sort of place. But the same mickey wafles you get at the food court they have at the character meals. Im a soup, salad, sandwich person. Most of that I can find at a cs place. We kept the QSDP this year instead of the upgrade and we are going for 10 days.

We each picked at TS meal to eat at. Mine is Garden grill, girls wanted t-rex and dh wanted rainforest. Plus we will probably eat at WPE or ES a time or 2.

Sounds like us. My family requested after 2 trips with DDP to not have it this year or just get QSDP, they were tired of all the time it took. I didn't mind the time but when they convinced me was when we had to wait almost 2 hours for 50sPT past our ADR time. After that I said OK, we can give something else a try. We are excited that was the offering at the values. We too are going for a long time, 11 nights (thught we plan to cut a day off the end.) There ar a lot of places we like and some we love. We are doing a couple TS meals too, we have 4 planned for now but may cut down one, we wil see.

We have no problem eating CS. We don't eat hamburgers and/or French Fries and find that there is a lot of variety at Disney CS, especially at Epcot.

We love EoS.

No you are not nuts, I cannot eat CS for every meal while I am there.

There is nothing wrong with any of the CS places. LOVE most of them. But for dinner I want a sit down meal. I want something that isn't made in a hurry (well you know what I mean... ;) )

Something that doesn't have the "fast food" feel to it.

I did want to try columbia harbor house, may do that next trip just to see if it is decent!

That is def a biggie with me. When I want to eat, I want someone to serve me. i dont wanna stand in line.wait for a table. none of it. I can do wendy's at home for that! but i find the quality of the food at most places blech. especially for kids! and I agree, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with these places, just I can't stand them. With the exception of EoS (can yo tell i'm obsessed with that place!)

We don't mind the CS options at Disney. (We usually do CS for lunch and TS for dinner.) But we also pretty much avoid burgers and fries. I find there's lots of options.

Some of our favorites are in Epcot - Morocco, Japan, and France have great CS places. We also like Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom. The Lighthouse Sandwich is really good! And I'm a big fan of Asian food, so we like the Yak and Yeti CS place in AK.

On this last trip, we tried out Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express for the first time and enjoyed both. We had never done CS in DTD before.

You could just as well have been quoting me. I feel the same. :thumbsup2

There are some great places you jsut have to find them. I ate alot of chicken salads during lunch on our last trip and cant say i had one bad salad while there. I dont know what you like or dislike so its hard to help you out.

We don't mind too much, but our food tastes are different. Fast food is part of vacation for us, we never eat it at home. We haven't been to a McD's or the like in over 10 years. So eating that sort of stuff is part of the vacation.

That being said, we usually split meals or get smaller stuff. We only have a few burgers, there's so much variety with salads, bbq, chicken, etc.

I don't particularly like waiting in line, but I also don't like waiting around for a server who may or may not be on their game that day. I'd rather get it and go when I want.

If you hit them at the right time of day (we try around 2pm and 7pm) the lines aren't too bad...but we go off season too.

EoS is the BEST! lol I may actually sample some of the CS at WS next trip. Morocco seems yummy!

I guess I feel like i can get that kind of stuff at home whenever I want...:confused3

and that could be why I don't like it at WDW, we don't eat it here either, cause we don't like that type of food. Now don't get me wrong, I'll get wendy's if we are somewhere and I have to rush home, but it is not te norm.

good point about the servers..but good point about the lines. that drives me crazy! especially with my son. it's a nightmare lol
We are not fans of the CS in Disney. ;)

Glad I'm not the only one!

I guess I can envision eating mostly CS for 5 nights...we're doing the QSDP during FD next week. I'm totally looking forward to it...

We've done the DDP and the DxDDP. While I enjoy being served meals, and consider this to be much nicer than dealing with the food, finding a table, etc., I have to say that by the end of our week on DxDDP, I was so sick of having our family meals constantly supervised by a stranger, which is what the TS were feeling like. The few CS meals we did ended up being so nice and peaceful...believe it or not.

That said, we are on a budget trip, value resort, free QSDP. I've made 2 ADRs for OOP meals. I know we will keep the one character meal breakfast and we "might" keep the ADR for an early MK lunch on AM EMH day...

We'll see how it goes!:rotfl:
