I know this will be on the site somewhere but hoping someone can help out.
What constitutes a CS breakfast when using the dining plan?

Thanks, Marie

1 entree or combo meal, and one non-alcoholic beverage. No dessert. If you choose to use a credit for breakfast, you are essentially giving up the dessert allotment.

Resort CS, if you prefer, will allow a continental breakfast consisting of one baked good, one piece of fruit, and one non-alcoholic beverage.

Some park CS like Main Street Bakery seem to do their own thing. Not sure they've moved to the 1 baked good, 1 piece of fruit and 1 beverage model.

Cereal plus milk counts as a CS meal. Used to be you could get it as a snack.

In most cases it's just an entree and a drink. Like a PP said, no desserts. Unless it's one of those random places, like Main Street Bakery that seem to have their own set of rules. I think Starring Rolls is the same way.

Personally, unless I have extra CS credits I need to use up, I don't use them for breakfast, I just don't think it's a good value. I usually use my snack credits for breakfast items, like danishes or fruit.

yeah, unless you have counter service credits to "burn", wouldn't use them for breakfast - it's just not a good value. Much less expensive to pay OOP or use snack credits.

For example, hubby's favorite breakfast at resort counter service is biscuits & gravy and a cup of coffee. The coffee is "free" in the refillable resort mug, and the biscuits & gravy is about $3.50. That would be a total waste of a meal credit. Now sometimes they will allow the biscuits & gravy as a snack credit, which is a good deal...but other times they say not-a-snack...so we pay cash at that point.

The only time we have used the counter service credit for breakfast is when we get the "bounty platter" breakfast-which is quite a large breakfast--and we split it. That works, especially on a day when we're also planning to split a large lunch (like the chicken/ribs combo at Cosmic Ray's in MK) Then it works to use up the counter service credits that way.

Thanks for the replies, I' m currently trying to work out if we should book for next year with free DDP( already on release in UK).
We are a family of 2 adults, and two kids 14 & 10 and I know there is no way we would use 4CS credits at lunch daily so we would have some left over for breakfasts. We would probably get a couple of platters to share and could top up if necessary with snack credits.
Thanks again, Marie

Well looks like the question is answered so I'll just put down my 3 favorite CS breakfasts
1. Tonga Toast - banana-stuffed sourdough bread, battered, deep-fried and dusted with cinnamon and sugar Captain Cook's Snack Company Polynesian
2. Create-Your-Own Omelet - choose from a variety of your favorite fresh ingredients. Served with potatoes Riverside Mill Port Orleans Riverside Food Court
3. Hot Cinnamon Roll Pop Century Food Court or at Main Street Bakery
Magic Kingdom
