I read somewhere awhile back about one of the hotels having an awesome CS option with tons of variety (or maybe I am imagining it). We are staying at POR, and while they do have some variety, I would like to try something different. We ate at POP in December and it was OK, but I was expecting more variety. Does CBR or CSR have a good CS area? What about All Stars or POFQ?

THANKS!!

I can only tell you about CBR and CSR. CBR has Old Port Royale with several CS options and Shutters, a TS option. Everything we've eaten there was very good. CSR has a fantastic CS restaurant, Pepper Market, which seems to have everything you could want to eat, including a steak for 1 CS credit and is very good. The TS restaurant at CSR is Maya Grill which usually gets mixed reviews.

We thought POR had some great choices and we also hopped the boat down to POFQ for lunch on a pool day for variety. You can also take the boat to DTD for some really good CS options, Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express.:goodvibes

Pepper Market at Coronado - tons of variety and good quality.

The All-Star Resorts have a great selection in their food courts as do CBR. If you visit the dining section of Allearsnet.com, you can see some of the menu items and their prices. It's fun to look at all of the food offered at WDW.

:)

The food courts are what DH loves most about the values and mods...the deluxe resorts have terrible excuses for food courts....

We stayed at the POFQ last month and DH had the best taco salad, I had a killer muffaletta sandwich with fresh pasta salad, the biscuits and gravy for breakfast was DH fave and I wish I had time to try the jambalaya....cannot wait to get back there in Oct!

Shhh! Don't tell anyone but the Food Court at SSR is great! It's called the Artist's Palette. We went a couple times our last few trips (drove over from POP). Parked right at the main building.

They have flatbreads (pizza) that are good as well as some interesting sandwiches. You place your order and then they cook it. :goodvibes They also have Chef's Specials after 5 p.m.
Chef's Dinner Specials - Monday, Wednesday & Friday (available after 5:00pm) - Lemon-rosemary rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and corn. Price varies.
Chef's Dinner Specials - Sunday & Tuesday (available after 5:00pm) - Cheese-stuffed meatloaf with broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes and tomato mushroom gravy. Price varies.
Chef's Dinner Specials - Thursday & Saturday (available daily after 5:00pm) - Chicken alfredo with penne pasta, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, pine nuts and basil. Price varies.

These sound really good as well. Since it's DVC it seems to have less guests roaming around (at least to me). It's a nice resort to check out. Nice themeing.

We also really like the Food Court (Gasparilla Grill and Games ) at GF. We usually make it our last stop before we leave for the airport and grab some sandwiches, etc. for our trip home (on the plane) The Italian Meat Sandwich (Italian Sandwich - Turkey, ham, capacola, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato on Focaccia bread served with coleslaw. - $8.09 ) is really good. You can substitute your side-we got chips since we were taking it to go and didn't want to risk the coleslaw getting warm. Also asked for the dressing on the side (didn't get soggy!) Like AP, the food is cooked to order. My DD usually gets the chicken strips with chips, instead of the fries. You can grab bottled drinks which is a great option, but we do have to finish them before going through security check at airport.

We find the food courts at the moderate and deluxe resorts worth the trip (we have our own rental vehicle).

Oh, and one last thing, Captain Cook's at Poly has serve yourself Dole Whips! :cloud9: Also their menu looks good as well. I just noticed that they offer sushi-maybe we'll have to grab something there on one of the nights of MNSSHP and watch the Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular from the shore. We watched it there last year and it was really great! Especially the finale when the fireworks went off all over the park. :cool1:

They all have great breakfasts as well. Cooked to order. ;)

We have stayed at CBR in 2004 and I still remember the CS there. The Old Port Royale foodcourt had a lot of variety. You can check out the menus from allearsnet or wdwinfo to see what the different CS locations have.
