CS at DHS...is there ANYTHING decent?

Any good/bad experiences with Pizza Planet?

I'm not picky with pizza...I liked the old Domino's and the new Domino's, if that gives you a reference. I've heard horror stories lately about ABC Commissary.

I thought pizza planet was horrible, yucky pizza, but my kids liked it

Another vote for Starring Rolls.......we did breakfast there one day, snack another, and the cupcakes and cheesecakes are heavenly

We like to eat at Backlot Express, the kids get the burger and we like the grilled turkey & cheese.

We also like Pizza Planet. The veggie pizza has more flavorful sauce than the cheese or pepperoni, pair that with the caprese salad and you have a decent lunch.

We'll have to try Starring Rolls the sandwiches sound good. We've only had breakfast there, I do remember the layout of the queue was a bit awkward so I think that is partly why we avoid it at busier times of the day.

ABC Commissary used to have excellent breakfast choices (several years ago), now their menu doesn't do much for any of our group (breakfast or lunch).

My kids LOVED Toy Story Pizza Planet, but I was unimpressed.

We always do pizza planet, kids love it. This is fun and pizza about the best you'll get at any of disney parks.

Chips or a piece of fruit come with the sandwiches ar Starring Rolls as part of the entree. Desserts are divine!

We opt for either Starring Rolls or Backlot (love that turkey/cheese/veg panini too).

Pizza Planet is just OK, and noisy with the arcade games. All Disney pizza in the parks is just adequate, nothing special.

In short, I have to say NO, there is not a cs worth eating at in DHS (this is only my opinion).

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had in my life was at the ABC Commissary. I'm sure you will find a couple people on here who will like ABC, but if you were to poll 100 people who have actually had the courage to walk through their front doors and attempt to eat something there, I'll bet the overwhelming response would be never again.

I agree with everything this says. ABC Comm. = blech! Never again!

Pizza Planet is good, pizza is just like everywhere else on property and they have a nice pizza/salad meal. Tried the Backlot Express last trip and enjoyed the toasted turkey and cheese sandwish with arugula. Either one of those works for me!

We have not had very good experiences at ABC, and Pizza Planet is OK. As you can see from my name, we can't miss anything that is related to Toy Story, so we always have lunch there (but not dinner, and not more than once per trip!)

Although we're still going to Pizza Planet for one lunch, after reading this and other threads, we'll try Starring Rolls and Fairfax Fare. (I think Fairfax Fare used to be Fairfax Fries, but they expanded their menu - maybe someone knows for sure!) Anyway, haven't been there yet, but I've been hearing good things about Fairfax Fare!

I think the best TS option at DHS is Prime Time Cafe. It's a must-do for us every trip.

I've never eaten at Hollywood & Vine so I can't give an opinion there; however, I did like Mama Melrose and is not a bad option for a TS. As for Sci - Fi, I like it, but if you are on the DDP I would pay OOP instead, I'd rather get more bang for the buck on the dining plan elsewhere.

I'll agree with you on this, PTC is a decent option for a TS, decent food and good theme (some think it's over the top). However, like Sci -Fi, we always go OOP here. I just like to get better value out of the dining plan than using it here.

Fairfax Fare has one of the best salads in all of Disney! It has roasted corn, pinto beans, romaine lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded montery jack cheese, and pulled pork. Sooooo yummy! I had it last July & I've been hooked ever since. They also recently added ribs, brisket, and chicken to their menu.

I have tried them all at DHS, On the day we choose to go to DHS we eat breakfast at resort or character breakfast, out of the park at lunch time, eat in another resort or back to our resort for pool time and nap, if we go in later in the day we have do sit down.
I really wish they would come up with something for CS there.

I would agree with you, but it don't seem to be the case. We even politely complained to the manager at ABC and was treated very harshly. I wrote a letter to WDW and sent it snail mail and email. I have made it a personal goal to send them an email with every thread and negative review I can find of this place so they can see it's an overwelming opinion that ABC is horrible in most peoples opinion and not just mine.

I thought Pizza Planet was fine when we went recently. Don't go expecting New York quality pizza.. but its still very good for theme park pizza! The salad was also pretty good and they have a few dressing choices and the sugar cookies were awesome!

We made a huge mistake in going to ABC for breakfast omg that was Horrible. My jaw hurt for quit some time from trying to chew the sandwhich and I only ate MAYBE half of it.

We did Pizza planet for lunch. Kids thought it was good. I definatly thought it was better then breakfast. DH was not impressed.

I am going to have to try Starring Rolls next time!
