CS at AKL or another resort?

On the night that we get to Disney, we want to just relax and enjoy the resort. We're going to have CS that night. We are staying at AKL and were wondering if we should just eat at the Mara or go to another resort's. What do you think and if there is another resort which one and why? TIA

I stayed at AKL in September and never ate dinner at Mara, but did have breakfast there and was generally not impressed. Why not go to DTD or something? You can have Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, etc.?

We thought Mara was good & there is so much to do at AKL, I would eat at Mara maybe swim & do the Night Vision Goggles.

We arrive very late in the afternoon on our arrival day at AKL also. We have decided to go to DTD and grab a pizza at WPE. We didn't want to make an ADR anywhere just in case there was a delay with our flight. And WPE is our favourite CS. It takes away the pressure if we are late arriving and its fairly easy to get to.

I would stay at the AKL.

Mara is our preferred CS restaurant in the resorts. They have a few more exotic dishes (African stew, different soups) but also have rotisserie chicken and the usual pizza, hamburgers and salads. You can also get zebra domes for dessert.

If your intention is to relax and enjoy your resort then I think going to another resort for a CS meal kind of defeats your goal (especially if you don't have a car - it's a real pain to get from one resort to another).

The night we checked into the AKL we went to the Pepper Market at CSR...it was on the way and we had our own car so it was easy. The food at the PM was awesome
