Is it worth it? I have a 3 and 4 yr old...just wondering how the food is there? Selection? Character interaction? ETC.....
I made a rez for lunch, our last day at Disney so I really want to do something they will enjoy and we're already doing CRT for breakfast a different day. Thanks in advance!!!!!

It is sooooo very worth it. Your kids are just the right age for it too. The food is very good, interaction with Pooh and Friends was FAB. Its a nice to take a break in the middle of the day with the young children. ENJOY.

By far one of the best (if not the best) buffets on WDW property!:thumbsup2 Food selection is great, food quality is great (better than CMs for sure), desserts are...mmmmm, service is great and character interaction is fun! Their salmon is better than some of the upscale restaurants at the resorts!

We missed this our last visit and did LTT instead for dinner, never again, no comparison. We waited forever for the characters at LTT and didn't even see them all and the food was fair at best and the service wasn't too good either. Our server just kept wanting to take our food and plates away (nor could we understand him).

We've only done lunch at CP but I think next visit we'll try dinner there. We don't do breakfast much anymore but if we did we try CP. I'm sure breakfast and dinner are as great as lunch. I highly recommend it!:thumbsup2

I don't know if we just hit it on a bad day in August this year or what since I hear nothing but rave reviews for CP all the time here....

We had a lunch reservation for 11:40am. After 18 trips to Disney, it was about time I tried the place! :rotfl: When we went to check in there were well over 100 people congregating outside the restaurant-most of whom did not have ADR's as I kept hearing over and over again if they could get a table and when asked if they had an ADR, they said no... they were given pagers all the same :confused3 After about 30 min., we got seated. We apparently just missed the character rounds in our area and were told that we would see all 4 within the hour.... my girls (ages 7 and 4.5) didn't want to leave the table to go to the buffet for fear of missing them so DH stayed w/ them while I waited in a MASSIVE line for the buffet just to get their plates (I couldn't manage 3 plates so my lunch would have to wait...)... 20 min. later I returned w/ their plates and DH went up to get his lunch. When he returned I went up for mine.... all in all we'd been there about an hour now since we had to go up individual times. Still no characters :confused3 :guilty: The food was EXCELLENT though, so I do have to give it that... :thumbsup2 Worth the wait I guess :rolleyes1

Finally we got visited by Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore  but Tigger was still on the other side of the restaurant when we had to leave :(

So... all in all-food was excellent @ lunch.... incredibly long wait and hassle to get to it :rotfl: :rotfl: Character interaction was so-so (my older DD was terribly disappointed not to meet Tigger :( )

It is sooooo worth it. I prefer lunch/dinner over breakfast. I absolutely LOVE the mashed potatoes (so much that I got the recipe). It's a buffet, so something for everyone. Now for characters, it takes them quite awhile to get around to the tables since it is such a large place (plus there is a celebration every so often). And it is LOUD. However, it is still one of my favorite places to eat.

You will definately not regret your decision to eat at Crystal palace. The food is great for both adults and children and the children will definately enjoy the experience.:thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Your children will love it!! It's a beautiful restaurant, and with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends-it will be perfect! Every character will come to you and spend plenty of time for you to take pix or video! The food is buffet and really has something for everyone-LOTS of choices and delicious desserts, too.
Enjoy!:goodvibes

:goodvibes Yes, it is wonderful! Saratoga Springs is awesome as well! :thumbsup2 Have a wonderful time!

We just had breakfast there yesterday and the characters never made it to our side of the place and we were there for 40 minutes. DH and I do not mind mising them but there were families there that were pretty pissed off....all 4 characters were on the left side of the place and not one came to the right side. As we were paying our check I heard alot of people ask to speak to the manager and complain, as we were walking out the door Tigger and Eeyore started to come across.

And the food was just so so this time too

That is horrible because they are actually what most people pay for. Usually they kind of rotate , and come one by one, spaced apart. I feel so bad for the little kids (and big kids too) that were disappointed!

It's fabulous!!! We had dinner there in 2005 and breakfast on our last trip in 2006. We absolutely love the place. Breakfast had the edge for me because we entered an empty Main Street and the atmosphere was magical (lots of photo ops, beautiful surroundings, that Disney music clearly audible - *bliss*). The food was excellent and the character interaction wonderful. Here's a link to that page of my TR (you can just scroll through it - it meanders a bit. :lmao: ) http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=15833161&postcount=101

MickeyNicki,
So sorry to hear of your experience there. That's horrible. A similar thing happened to us in Hollywood & Vine at the Playhouse Disney meal. Very disappointing. :(
