Crystal Palace- switch from b-fast to lunch

When Crystal Palace switches from breakfast to lunch, do they close when breakfast ends, and open when lunch is ready? Or do they just switch the foods on the buffet when the time comes? We thought it would be neat to have a late breakfast ADR, and were wondering how they do the swith from meals. Thanks!

I had a late breakfast at Crystal Palace on my first trip in 2003... and we were still in the restaurant when they started to switch from breakfast to lunch, and the characters were still around taking pictures etc... they even came twice to our table and had a blast with the kids... we were very few left in the restaurant... we left the restaurant around 11:30. It was great and we never felt rushed or anything.

I don't think they clean the place out from breakfast . . . but they do have a "start time" for lunch (11:30, I think). Before that time, you'll see a lot of breakfasters finishing up their meals and leaving while a crowd grows on the front porch for people checking in for lunch. I presume during that time they're preparing the luncheon buffet dishes.

If you stay long enough you can get breakfast and lunch at the breakfast price as long as your ADR is within the breakfast time period.

Yes I think they are still there for lunch, but it was fun because like it was said, the people with lunch reservation were waiting outside until all the lunch buffet was set up, so we had Pooh and Tigger etc, all to ourselves.... I had breakfast (2003)and diner(2004) at the Crystal Palace and loved them both.
