Hi. Need some advice. We have res for crystal palace tomorrow. We did not like the buffet at playhouse Disney so worried. Should we change or is crystal good? Any suggestions on where to change to? Even if not character? It is our last night :). Loved ohana :)

I have never eaten at the buffet in DHS but haven't read many good reviews. CP on the other hand is very good. We prefer it for breakfast but lunch/dinner are good, too. I would keep it!

Honestly, I know CP gets rave reviews and H&V not so much but I really did not see much of a difference between them. We are not big buffet people anyway so maybe that's why we felt like we did. Both had very average food. We went for the character interaction for DD and I have to say that even that seemed to be lacking. In both places the characters seemed rushed and at both we had one character that never made it around to us and we had to ask at the end of our meal.

If you just want to see the Pooh characters, we actually had better interaction with them at the UK pavillion at EPCOT, but Piglet was not there.

We definitely prefer the food at CP to that at H&V (dinner only--haven't tried other meals). Better selection, temperature control and it didn't feel quite so crowded. It probably is--just didn't feel that way! *LOL*

That said, both are buffets. Don't expect gourmet food. But there is sufficient variety to satisfy simple tastes (yours truly, thank you) as well as those who are a bit more adventurous (my BFF). Her DD and DGD fit some where in between! :)

I am not typically a proponent of the character buffets, but Crystal Palace is far superior to Hollywood & Vine. I wouldn't pass judgment on one after a disappointing meal at the other.

I recommend keeping the reservation. I suspect you'll enjoy Crystal Palace.

Definitely keep CP. My kids loved it and my husband still raves about the food at dinner. We were shocked it was so good!
