we want to do a charater meal....

last time we did chef mickey and crystal palace....loved them both, but i remember the food at crystal palace being great great great!!! :cool1:

we have never eaten at liberty soooo...been hearing lots of good things...what was your favorite food there? is it buffet??? :confused3

Liberty Tree is family style. The menu is Thanksgiving Dinner type food. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mac & cheese, corn etc. Not trying to be a wet blanket but IMO Crystal Palace is better.

Did both on our last trip. I found LTT to be a lot quieter and the characters spent more time at the tables. The food was yummy and my hubby and I are planning to go back on our next trip. After a week of really rich food it was nice to eat a meal similar to things I would cook at home :)

Now as far as breakfasts go, the CP is awesome. Food is very good and I LOVE Pooh. For breakfast I would gladly go there again.

Agree 100%

Liberty tree is sort of like eating Stouffer's meals, especially the macaroni and cheese.

However, the atmosphere and the fact that the characters are all dressed in colonial outfits makes it definitely worth doing at least once.

We enjoy looking at the pictures from that day, although if we're really hungry we always head straight for crystal palace...

I agree with LindsayDunn228 and rt2dz about LLT - our family really enjoyed it. It was the first ever character meal for my parents and in-laws, and it made a terrific impression on them! The character interaction was wonderful, and the food was like a feast: sliced steak, turkey breast, smoked pork chops, mac and cheese, string beans (maybe green beans to you), freshly mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, salad with strawberry vinaigrette, and a delicious peach cobbler for dessert...I'm drooling just thinking about it!

We always do CP for breakfast - it's awesome! :sunny:

We go to the crystal palace everytime we are there. It is one of the best lunches or dinners in the park I think. We have tried others that arent quite as good .

We've eaten at Crystal Palace at least 8 times and it has been wonderful every time!!! We ate at LTT for the first time in Dec. and were a little disappointed. With all the rave reviews I'd read, we were expecting a lot better. The characters were good- but no better than CP. The food was OK- but there was no variety. If you didn't like the dressing- you were out of luck. LTT was OK- but we will definitely choose Crystal Palace over LTT every time- hands down!!! The selection is so wide and the food is always good- and the characters are great too!!!

You didn't say who is in your party. One thing I'll mention is that a buffet can be a lot of work., esp if you have kids who have to be accompanied though the line. You can eat a whole meal with it seeming like the whole family is never at the table at once. At LTT they bring your food to you...sounds more relaxing to me after a hot day in the park.

We love CP for lunch and dinner the food is yummy and Pooh and friends are always a big hit for us.

We love LTT for lunch. It is great.

However I wasn't so sure about the menu for dinner so we have not done it yet.

We ate at both this past Christmas, food was better at CP, interaction with characters was much better at LTT best I've ever had in all the buffets we've been to over the years. The characters at LTT kept sneaking up behind my 15 yr old son, it was a riot. At CP we had only taken pictures with one character by the time we had finished dinner, so a coordinator walked us over to get two more characters pictures, we missed one character. I would still eat there though because it's my favorite buffet food.

You know that is one thing I don't like about CM at buffets. I always get some distracted trying to go up and get our food (in shifts since we have kids) and not miss the charaters too. I can't really relax. That is one reason I love Garden Grill. You get all you eat, good food and they bring it too you. I would guess LLT is that way too. I am just not as sure about the food. I love the catfish at GG. Man I wish they would be open again when we go in 3 weeks!

I vote for LTT. I liked the food better and there was more character interaction. I felt it was more relaxing and more fun than CP. We look forward to LTT every trip! :earboy2:

thanks for all the imput.

I am even thinking of the Garden Grill at EPCOT! My son mentioned Chef Mickeys and I have heard SUCH good things about this place that I may stick it in and surprise him......what ya think????

IF.....I can get PS.... :cool1:

We have been to both and really prefer CP. LTT was nice as far as costumes, etc and was quieter. Charcaters were really good. Not impressed with the food. We just enjoy the good times and good food at CP.
