I have made all my ADR for late September and I am pleased that we got everything we wanted! I did make ADR at Crystal Palace for our second day at MK because I thought our dd might enjoy the Pooh characters more. She is now 4 1/2 and wouldn't really care if she got to see them or not. Is the food better at LTT or would you suggest another sit down restaurant? We are eating at CRT for lunch on our first day at MK.

I like both very much and have had good experiences at each. Another option at MK is Tony's, right at the front of Main Street - if you like Italian. Personally, if your DD doesn't care about the characters, I'd choose Liberty Tree Tavern - I just like the food better - just my opinion. Good Luck.

I think either restaurant would be great for your dd. They are both good restaurants.

I am not sure you can go wrong.

CP=I enjoy the characters and the food at CP but it it crowded and loud and sometimes you have to fight the crowd to get to the buffet and back to your table. It can be a pain if you have little ones but there are more food items to choose from.

LTT=The food here is good also but they bring it to your table. Easier if you have kids and not as loud. Not as many choices as far as food items but I like the fact that once you are seated you do not have to get up again. They wait on you. That can be a plus.

I may be in the minority but I feel the food at the Chrystel Palace is much better during the character meals. More selection, better quality. However if you go for lunch a la carte then I enjoy the LTT.

If you can do both - I would do CP for breakfast and LTT for dinner - separate days. Late 10:30 am CP breakfast so it acts like an early lunch and an early dinner 5pm at LTT to avoid some crowds.

We loved LTT :cool1: The food was very good (very Thanksgiving like) and I would agree that having the meal served to you at your table was so much nicer than having to get up and stand in line. When we dined at CP (breakfast) the line to get through the buffet was nuts. We wasted so much time waiting in line that on several occasions we had to wait for the characters to make their way back through the room again. We have done many sit downs and buffets and CP was the only one that we had to wait in line. Hope this helps :goodvibes

We always do both restaurants on our trips; CP for breakfast and LTT for dinner. LTT for dinner is much more relaxed, allows you and your family to spend more time together talking and relaxing at the table while the food is brought to you, instead of someone constantly getting up from the table to go to the buffet. We love the turkey and stuffing, too!

We've done both and will do both on our August trip (on separate evenings). We prefer LTT because of the low key, quieter setting. The food was good at both and character interaction was great at both. Our kids (4 and 8) enjoyed both too. Our last time at CP we were in between 2 very large (related) parties that yelled back and forth and let their kids run from table to table over and over again. They were on dessert when we got there and were still there when we left well over an hour later. They kept putting food (dozens of cookies, etc.) in zip locks to take for later and talking very loudly about the way they got away with lying about their kids ages (said some were under 3 and some were "children's prices" when they were older). We are pretty laid back, but we were a little frazzled after that dinner. We are hoping for a better experience next time.

is for ltt. the characters spend a great deal of time at each table. no rush, the food is brought to you and it is really good and you can have as much as you want.

The LTT setting is calmer and quieter. The food however, is simply awful. Think frozen Swanson Turkey and Macoroni dinner. Really-- the choices are very salty turker, pork or ham with stouffer's macaroni'n'cheese. I can't remember the other veggie. No salads. No appetizer. Only one dessert choice. If you family eats a lot of frozen convienence foods, you will probably be ok here. If you typically prepare fresh foods at home--you will not be happy with the quality.

The CP is pretty loud, but the food is varied and mostly pretty good. Several good pasta dishes, salads, roast beef, mulitple vegatable choices, fruit, ice cream bar, several dessert choices. The Pooh characters are fun and they really spend time with you (actually, the mickey, chip and dale at LTT do too).

Actually they do bring salad. I have seen a lot of posts where people compare this food to frozen dinners however! We really like it but it is a somewhat heavy meal with a lot of starch, which of course is why we like it! Either choice is great, probably just depends on which characters you are more interested in seeing.

:scratchin I couldn't decide either so I'm doing both!! I've been to CP several times for breakfast and love it. Great character interaction each time I've went. I haven't been to LTT but I'm going this time. CP at 10:30 LTT at 5:30. (DD8 chose every character meal at WDW but we narrowed it down to 3 :goodvibes )

I agree with the above comments. Buffets can be a pain with little ones -up and down up and down. The food at CP is better and has a great variety, but the meal at LTT is good and is brought to you.

CP is better, I think.

I agree that LTT is more relaxed, easier with little kids, etc. I agree with the person who said that the food is not that great. I swear the stuffing was that stuff you can buy in a box (stove top, I think) and the mac and chesse I know was Stouffers. Nothing tasted freshly made from scratch.
