Hello,

Just wondering which one you prefer for breakfast? Also, if I'm staying at the WL, would you book breakfast at Kona Cafe? or is it really out of the way? That Tonga Toast looks good :)

Our family prefers Crystal Palace over Chef Mickey's any day. Especially if we are going to be going to MK that day, then we always get the earliest breakfast ADR (before the park opens), it makes for some really great pictures before the other guests arrive. Plus the food is much better at CP then at CM, we ate at CM's twice...once for dinner and once for breakfast and we had horrible service, characters seem to be too rushed, and mediocre food both times. Sad to say we won't be going back for a while. As for Kona, it really is not out of the way at all from WL. The best way to get there is to take the ferry that goes to FW and Contemporary...get off at the Contemporary and then head straight for the monorail. Take the monorail to the Poly (the second stop after Contemporary). Enjoy!!!!

Hands down, CP over CM. We have been to CP at least once on each of our trips to WDW. It is one of our favorite restaurants. The CP breakfast was one of the best we've had at WDW! Definitely try the Pooh French Toast. We've eaten at CM for both breakfast and dinner and thought the food was sub-par compared to CP. The character interaction at CP was much better too. Kona is not far from WL at all. The quickest way to get to Kona from WL is what the PP said.

Crystal Palace!! We had some of THE BEST customer service from a CM EVER there, on our trip in 2007 for breakfast. It was fabulous and delicious and wonderful!! :woohoo:

I am one of the very few, I think, who didn't absolutely love the Tonga Toast. :rotfl: But Poly isn't far at all from WL, especially if you have a car to get around property.

My vote goes to the Crystal Palace. We always get early (8:15 or so) ADR's so we can take some good pics of the castle. There are already photopass photographers out on Main Street to take your pic, too. Awesome. My husband got a great shot of the red umbrellas at Casey's with no one there. The quiet is almost eerie! But it's one of our best memories of WDW.

We tried both breakfasts on our last trip. Hands down Crystal Palace! Food, service, and character interaction was far better and less rushed at CP than CM. Plus we had a 8:05am ADR before the parks opened, and nothing beats walking down an empty Main Street :thumbsup2

We ate at CP for breakfast and loved it. It was great. We had CM for dinner & it wasn't so great. As far as reviews I've seen, I don't think breakfast would be that great there either. Of course, if it's the characters- of course it is- you should pick based on who you want to see.

I'd rather goto Cape May Cafe for breakfast. However, between the 2 you asked about, CP in a landslide.

Thanks all. I think I'm gonna stick with Crystal Palace. I'm planning on doing CRT and Tusker House as well.
