I was looking at Allears and noticed a new menu list for the Crystal Palace in the MK. The dinner menu looks like something you would find at Boma...several curry dishes..tofu...ancho chili salmon....corn spoon bread..papaya arugala salad..etc. It sounds good, but I thought that the menu at the Crystal Palace was more American style and kid focused?

Is the new menu there actually that exotic now?

thanks

Many of us don't consider curry, tofu, and salmon to be exotic. There is a great kid's buffet at CP with all the favorites- spaghetti, mac and cheese, mini hot dogs, nuggets, etc., depending on the night. Liberty Tree Tavern will have very basic, "unfancy" food; mac and cheese, roast turkey and other roasted meat, mashed potatoes, etc. My friends who don't eat Chinese take out because it's too exotic liked Crystal Palace just fine, but really raved over LTT,

I don't find them to be exotic either. I said exotic in terms of 'different from typical American style buffet items that I commonly see at Disney at a character meal ". I was surprised to see some of the menu items offered at a Character buffet. Salmon isn't exotic, but having an ancho chilie rub on it seemed surprising. I just wanted to confirm that the menu was acurate and it wasn't just the typical roast chicken, mashed potatoes, etc.

This is the menu that I found that was recently updated on Allears. I just wanted to confirm that these are the types of items that can be found (I'm sure some change day to day).

Has anyone had these items there recently?

We have eaten at CP a zillion times, and just ate there in March, and many of these items have been on the menu for years - especially the vegetables and rice. Have had the broccolli, kale and rice many times. These have been staples for awhile.

As for the other stuff you mentioned, I noticed the curry dishes and salmon in March.

HTH, Tiger :)
