Who's been to Crystal Palace for lunch?? Just wondering how the foods are and if it's all sandwichy stuff or if they have some other items? I've seen some pix recently and the only photos (of lunch) were fruits and salads and chicken nuggets and pizza. (Looked more like kids plates than adult plates)
So just wondering what to expect and see if All Ears menu is correct or outdated.

ALSO - anyhow know how early (and late) the serve lunch and if any time is less crowded than another? We'd like to do lunch instead of bkfst so we can get some good ride-time in for the morning!

THANKS!!!
PS would love to see some LUNCH pix from CP!!

Lunch is my family's favorite meal at the CP! It is not all sandwichy stuff like at H & V. I do not have any pics, but I can tell you some of our favorites that they have served in the past: a selection of breads, tossed salad makings, a generous selection of pasta based salads, mozarella/tomato salad, beet salad, some sort of rice/veggie dish, salmon, rotisserie chicken, orange glazed pork, flank steak, a creamy mushroom pasta dish (one of my favorites), a cheesy/crab pasta dish (another favorite), mashed potatoes, pizza, meatballs, veggies, mac & cheese and on the dessert bar to die for coconut flan, brownies, cheese cake, cookies, ice cream with toppings, carrot cake, and fruit. It is our favorite buffet at WDW. I don't believe that you will disappointed!

You're making me hungry!!! :woohoo: THANKS!

The last 2 lunches at CP was 11:40...we love it b/c the food was fresh. The have a wonderful salad selection and there is a ranch dressing that I love and my son loves an edemame salad. They have a great selection of hot buffet...my husband favorite it the salmon. I love the pasta dish and my son likes a chicken dish (I forgot the name)...there is plenty to choice from...I don't eat cold cuts but they do have that but can't comment on it. Love the dessert buffet. I find this place better than CM b/c the food selection is great.

We just did this 2 days ago--- it was great, had an ADR for 1:05p, seated by 1:15pm (it was July 3rd- really busy so ten minutes was nothing!)... lots of lunch choices... sandwich stuff yes but large selection of hot items, would definitely do it again.

This is great to know!!! So probably 1130a (or so) is the earliest and it looks like around 3pm is the latest. Wonder what time we'd need to be done in order to scope out a good spot for the parade in the afternoon! Anyone have a clue?

Were there long waits to actually get food in the line or is it pretty well organized? (I envision me going up to get food for the 2 girls while DH tries to keep them content at the table!)

We went for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. We went back later in our trip because it was so good. I was surprised at how good the food was actually. I especially liked the salmon, flank steak and spoonbread.

A previous poster gave a great description of the lunch food offerings. Our group were all very happy there. We had an 11:30 ressie so lines were no problem at all. Even when I returned for seconds on a few favorites the line was not an issue.

We had lunch at CP for the very first time a few weeks ago and LOVED it! It was nice to sit back and relax and still have fun with the characters. The food was really great! A friend of ours who was with us when back 5 times to fill his plate (growing teenager!):scared1:

There were some great selections like chicken, flank steak, pork roast and lots of pasta salads as well. There were two sides of food so there is basically no wait to get food or stand in line for food.

We just returned from WDW. Had a lunch ressie for 1:00. If you can try to get there a little early. We checked in at 12:45 and had a few minute wait before going in. There was plenty of food and no lines at the buffet. We weren't sure how the characters were get to everyone, but they rotate around the room and spend a few minutes at each table. The price was a little too much for the kids. Our 4 year old was about $20.00, and all she ate was 4 pickle slices, but the experience was well worth the money.

Two more fans of CP lunch. Great selection & the characters were lots of fun. We feel it was the best TS meal of our last trip!!

Thanks for the info, we have a 11:50AM ADR for our first day at MK in September!

We ate here a few years back- had a late lunch- 2:15 hardly anyone was there- we tookour time. met all the characters- (took our rest- stayed about 1 1/2 hours then headed out to main street to get our spots..

perfect.

We've done the first lunch seating the past two times. I would say that this lunch buffet is not sandwich-y at all! It seems to be a lot more what many people would consider dinner-like: mashed potatoes, different kinds of veggies, carved meats, mac&cheese, pizza for the kids. We did get very fresh food because we got the fresh lunch stuff.
I have never done breakfast or dinner there but my parents seemed to prefer the lunch over the dinner. Or maybe it was our company :)

My lunch there was a few years ago but the menu looks the same and we had a lot of the stuff the previous posters mentioned. I especially loved the mushroom pasta, spoon bread and rotisserie chicken. Oh and there was a quiche dish that was pretty darn tasty too, but I only had a bite of it as by that time I was stuffed and still had to have dessert. And dessert was the BEST part. The banana bread pudding was to die for. As was an apple crisp type dish.

It was probably our best meal tied with (and I know this isn't a popular place), San Angel Inn. I'm drooling thinking about them both.
