I have an ADR for Crystal Palace @ 11:50 on 6/3. I would like to know is this a good time for lunch, meaning is it crowded at this time. How is the food for lunch compare to the food for dinner? I looked at the allears.net & it didn't give too much detail for lunch like dinner. Thanks in advance...

every year we eat here for either lunch or dinner and we see no difference in the menu. Lots of yummy choices! We are going with lunch this year. We like to do a big sit down for lunch and then grab something quick for dinner (most days) For some reason my kids eat better at lunch?! So we took 11:30, by the time we sit and go get our food it will be noon. My younger DS loves the roasted chicken, meatballs, rolls. older ds loves the Salmon, mashed potatoes, salads. Dh and I love the curry noodles, and the pasta w/asagio cheese...nice to fill up and then walk it off the rest of the day:)

We usually go CP at Lunchtime and had wonderful meals...I think CP is always crowded but we try to go around 11:45 and the lines are not bad and food is hot and fresh.

Do you still have to make reservations at The Crystal Palace for lunch? It was a nice place to eat when I had my birthday there a few years ago. I don't have a ADR card.

Yes you need a reservation. The only differnece @ lunch @ CP is that they don't have the peel and eat shrimp. I thought the lunch and dinner their were very good. It's always crowded their so I would get their a little early if possible.

I'm not sure what was meant by an ADR card, but you just need to call Disney Dining or go online to make a reservation. I'd strongly suggest you make a reservation rather than just show up.

We had lunch there for the first time several weeks ago. It was busy but I thought the staff did a great job of crowd control:goodvibes

I thought most of the food was good but a few items, especially the meats, were salty. But that's the nice thing about buffets; if you try something and don't like it you can go back for something else;)

I was pleased with our lunch and would not hesitate to go back.

nothing needed to make a reservation...just your name and phone number. They'll give you a confirmation number. They now take reservations up to 180 days in advance.

We really enjoy Crystal Palace. For a buffet, I think the food is fabulous and a large variety. Been here 5 times total over 3 trips. I'll eat lunch here anytime. I like the carved meats, salmon, and the cold salads.

I don't think one ADR time is any better than another. Went there one day, wasn't crowded at all. Next day, same trip (Dec. 2010), the buffet was MOBBED with people when we first sat down. No problem, I just squeezed in where I could, got a few things for DS and sat down and waited 10 minutes for the crowd to die down.

A matter of debate... but people are so institutionalized to be in lines at Disney... I don't think any of the buffets are intended to have a starting and ending point but I've seen people get upset when I supposedly cut in line.

Even at Tusker House where the buffet is set up as PODS or separate stations, people still try to form a line.

I just go up and get my food and I'm polite about it.
