Hi there-

We went to CP for dinner last year, and I must say that I was underwhelmed. The food was just okay, and the service was pretty bad.

I've been told that the breakfast is great, so I was planning to make ADRs for breakfast. Is this a mistake?

Thanks.
Deb

We have been for dinner and left feeling underwhelmed as well. We haven't tried breakfast, so I can't give you firsthand experience. We're going to try breakfast on our next trip, though. Every guidebook or online review site I can find shows the breakfast a much (significant difference) higher rating for breakfast than dinner. The rave reviews for breakfast makes me want to try it. We've done CRT for breakfast before and it was so neat entering the park before everyone else. Such a magical feeling and great photos!! We don't want to give up the two TS credits for CRT (my girls preferred Akershus, which is great because it's only 1 TS). We feel there's two perks to Crystal Palace: the food/service gets awesome reviews and if you make your reservation before park opening, you get to enter the park before others.

I just came on here to ask the same question. We tried breakfast last year and I really enjoyed it. It was great being able to enter the park early since we had the 8:05 adr.

I was thinking of trying lunch or dinner since we want to try new things, and we can't get an 805 adr this time. I am having a hard time letting go of our breakfast there though.

We have had breakfast at Akershus, Chef Mickeys, and Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace is our favorite. Entering the park before it is open and walking down mainstreet is so neat. We take alot of pictures. The breakfast is really good and we love the characters of Pooh and friends. We are going back again this July.

My girlfriend and I also gave CP dinner a few chances and each time it got worse and worse. When it comes to breakfast, the service still isn't that great and the character interaction is what it is. But, if you like other breakfast buffets (CM's, 1900 PF, TH, etc. etc. etc.) the food is on par with them. We really find that besides a couple a few items which might be unique to a specific restaurant, breakfasts are basically the same quality food at all the buffets. We enjoyed it just as much as the others. With that being said, we always take the stance that it is better to experience and try things out for ourselves.

We did CP dinner back in 1999 and did not like it at all. We did CP breakfast last year and will be doing breakfast again this year. We like breakfast there and enjoyed the food better than dinner.

We did lunch in 2003 and dinner in 2009...we enjoyed both :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed the salads.

I found the food much better than Chef Mickey's dinner which to me was like Golden Corral.

The desserts were not as good as they looked, but my MIL loved them :confused3

We are trying the 8:05 before park opening thing in July when we go.

We loved breakfast there! I felt the food was plentiful, varied & tasted good. Our server was always quick to refill our drinks, which was very nice. The character interaction was fun. And I loved the atmosphere of CP! As well as getting into MK before the crowds. ;)

My DH & I are not really into Pooh & friends (no offense to those who do!), but we liked CP so much that we have breakfast ressies without the kids this time around.

We've never done dinner but we love breakfast at CP. We've always had great service and great food. It's become a "must do" for us on every trip.

Love the breakfast but we like fresh fruit for breakfast and they have a nice assortment. They also have this delicious puffy cinnamon french toast sticks that are delicious on the kids bar, we get some off of there any way. Also, they have delicious orange juice. I have never had dinner there but wanted to put in a good word for breakfast.

We have eaten at CP for breakfast and for lunch. We loved the breakfast so much more than the lunch, in fact we were a bit disappointed in the lunch (somewhat for the same reasons as the OPs). Everything was hot and fresh and VERY good, plus the character interaction was awesome, also if you can get a ADR for before the park opens, then that is a bonus :goodvibes. Definitely give breakfast a try, you will think differently about CP.

Dinner used to be great but the last time we went was the LAST time we will have dinner there....the food was just ick and so salty it was inedible!

Now breakfast is another story...always excellent, fresh and hot and just so tasty!

Loud...yes sure it is very loud but we like to go at the 8:05 am time and it isnt that bad. DH and I are not too concerned in seeing all the characters, we just want to grab breakfast and get in the park :rotfl:

This is great! Exactly what I wanted to hear. I LOVE a good breakfast buffet, but I was afraid that since dinner was so bad that breakfast might be a disappointment.

Thanks.
