Crystal Palace dinner at 4:00: has anyone done this?

After months of planning I realize it would be better to have a sit-down meal at dinner on a day we are planning to stay late in the Magic Kingdom. The only dinner options left now (at Crystal Palace and also Tony'S and LTT) are either very early (4:00) or very late (7:45). I'm thinking that 4:00 might not be too bad--we'll probably finish dinner around 5:30ish which is about when we normally eat at home.

Has anyone eaten a really early dinner? Did it work out well or was it odd?

Thanks!

Our family has eaten at 4:00 PM at WDW in the last and it has worked out fine for us. Our family normally eats dinner around 5:30 PM at home. I hope this helps!:)

We have eaten dinner early there often. The restaurants are usually less crowded and there is much less of a wait. We usually do not eat lunch that day - just snack. It is a nice time to take a break.

We ate at CP in August on our P&P party night. The only time I could get was 4. It worked out much better than I thought. We had a good breakfast (eggs etc...) instead of our usual bowl of cereal and then just snacks before dinner. We spent over an hour in there so it was after 5 when we got done. Then we had room for a late night snack. It was very hot, so we all decided to get ice cream from main street. Anyway, as long as you don't eat a big lunch, you should be fine.

We always eat at CP before MVMCP or MNSSHP, usually around 4 (before they used to close the park to get the non ticket people out) and it was fantastic. Food was awesome and the restaurant was just about empty...tons of character time

Ditto to all of this! Our last ADR at CP was for about 3:50pm for dinner. The wait was very short as were the buffet lines. By the time we left, the lines were much longer. In addition, we were able to watch the 3:00 parade from in front the CP and then just stroll right over.:thumbsup2

Glad to hear this. We have ADRs for CP at 4pm before the P&PP. Can't wait!

We just did the 4pm one last Friday - worked out great. Didn't get out of there til after 5:30. The food was great & we were really full! It worked out well because we were able to go & walk it off to get more treats later that night!

4:00 to 4:30 works great for us. Less of a crowd and lots of time after dinner to do other stuff. We just eat a huge breakfast, skip lunch, and eat an early dinner. Two meals a day, less calories, and some cost savings to boot.
