I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done the Character Buffet Lunch at Crystal Palace. Was the food worth the money, or is it mostly salad type items? I have done breakfast and don't think I will be staying around all day for the dinner buffet. For some reason I like  eating at CP! Thanks Gail

Hi, check on allearsnet. The menus are listed there & the lunch seems to have a pretty good variety. We've had breakfast & dinner there & we'll be trying the lunch for the first time this April. It looks pretty good! :thumbsup2

We did lunch last May. Food was average. Wouldn't go back for the food, but it's really the best place if you like the Pooh characters. It was worth it for that.

We had lunch there last May as well, & we really enjoyed it. It was our favorite buffet! I thought the buffet had plenty of selections - and not just your typical "buffet" choices (& not just salad items either). I remember trying some kind of carrot soup. I also remember an egg fritata, a corn souffle/pudding, & other items along w/ all the typical fare as well. The desserts were really good, and I had a yummy orange vinegarette salad dressing on my salad. And my kids loved the huge strawberries!

We had an early-ish ADR, and it was still very crowded though - which, admittedly, made going to the buffet a pain.

Our ADR time was 11:45 am. We got there around 11:30, and we weren't seated until around 12:15 pm.

The service was very good, and the character interaction was good as well. The kids got to go on a parade w/ Tigger which they really enjoyed. (Although, we did wait until well after we'd finished eating to see Pooh - for some reason, he kept "skipping" our section of the restaurant, and no one was leaving until he came by our tables. One of the servers finally had to go say something to his handler, and then he came to our tables & was absolutely wonderful. There was a little girl about 2 years old who was w/ her parents at a table next to us, and Pooh was just darling w/ her.)

We ate there in December, and we thought it was pretty good.

There was a carving station, as well as other non-salad choices. They have a spoon bread that was to die for!

The characters were great, and you can't beat the location.

We will be having lunch there in April (we've had dinner before and it was good). It's good to know that others have liked it....can't wait to go! :goodvibes

Our family always has lunch here on our first day. We have NEVER been disappointed with the food. In fact, we have found it to be our favorite buffet, right in line with Boma. The characters aren't always that attentive, but our boys are getting to the age where they think they're too big anyway. They usually have a mouthful of food in all their pictures! There's so much more to choose than just salads, lunch meat, etc. There are always wonderful warm pasta dishes and delicious carved meats to choose from. Enjoy!

Lunch and dinner are almost exactly the same. Both are usually good and the chahracter interaction is exactly the same.

We have gone for both lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both.

The lunch is only a $1.00 more than Breakfast. Lunch includes the Ice cream Sunday bar which is the real reason my DD's pick the Character Meals. IMO

The worst of all the character meals on our last trip----75 minutes without a single character in our section. Food was good though but our girls were entirely disappointed! We complained and the manager finally took our girls around to Pooh and Tigger for pictures. I would rather go th Chef Mickeys!!!!
