I scored an 8:15am ADR here for our January trip. We've never eaten here, would be paying out of pocket. Is it worth doing? We'll have 3 kids (9, 9, 6) with us, but I'm just unsure - I've heard mixed reviews. Any opinions?

It’s one of our family’s favorites. Everyone likes the food and the character interaction with Pooh and friends has always been great! We have 4 kids and they have loved it at every age.

It's a wonderful experience: beautiful restaurant, nice characters, and tasty food. Breakfast is their best meal imo.

DH and I do it every trip. It is the normal breakfast buffet but they do have made to order omlets and at the same station they can do chocolate chip pancakes. There are usually 2 types of potato dishes ( a cheesy casserole & potatoes with onions), breakfast pizza, muffins, fruit , etc. On our trip 2 weeks ago they had a great smoked sausage side. You are paying extra for the characters so only you know if it is worth it for your family. We have done it on all our trips and it is the only character meal we have done. Food has always been tasty with enough on the buffet for us to pick and choose from. With an 8:15 ADR if you are there by openning you won't have a long wait to be seated.

We enjoy the characters, but that's about it.

I'm not a big fan of the atmosphere or the food. It's not bad food, but it's not great food either. It's a breakfast buffet, so I don't think anyone is really expecting amazing to begin with.

We used to think it was a good value when we could get a before park ADR before they stated letting everyone in an hour early. Now it doesn't seem worth the money.

I'd only do this now if I was with someone who really loved Winnie the Pooh.

It's typical breakfast food, my hubby loves breakfast so it works for us. We did 5 character meals this last trip and characters were the worst here in my opinion. They don't seem to have a system down as well as the other resteraunts.

We have always had a great breakfast here and the character interaction is great so yes I would book it.

We like it a lot. My kids are similar ages to yours (7 and 9 now). We went there on our last 2 trips. The cinnamon puffed French toast from the kid section is so good.... sooooo good. I would do it for sure.

It's one of our favorite character meals. I'm a big fan of the breakfast lasagna, the kids enjoy the puffed French toast, and the smoked salmon and house made corned beef hash on the buffet are nice as well. We've had a few issues seeing all of the characters in our last couple of visits and the appeal of a pre-park opening spot has diminished with them letting people in the park earlier, but we still enjoy it.

Your children will love it - They do a nice fun parade around the tables with the children - bring your camera.
Lots of food to choose from - also talk to a chef if you have any questions.
I do not do passion fruit and got plain OJ to drink.

Take pictures of MK while walking to the CP.
Great pictures of an almost empty MK !

We ate here in June. The food was good, the restaurant itself is beautiful, but it takes a long time for all of the characters to come around. I think we stayed 1 1/2 to 2 hours!

One of the better breakfast buffets we have had. For 4 of us it was 154 including tip.

Crystal Palace is one of the few buffets I actually like. The characters are a lot of fun, the food is kept up with and replenished, I like that they have a fresh omelet station. And the best reason of all to go to Crystal Palace is for the Breakfast Lasagna... That stuff is more addicting than anything I know on the face of this earth. :rotfl2:

Do you like breakfast buffets?

Do you like Winnie the Pooh?

If the answer to either of these questions is "No," cancel and eat some QS food. Otherwise you should be fine...

This is my favorite brft at WDW! Have done it every trip and it is a must-do for us! As PP have mentioned, puffy French toast is awesome, made- to-order omelettes and Mickey shaped chocolate chip pancakes, and of course bouncing with Tigger:tigger:. DD 14 also enjoyed having ice cream to top off her brft - somehow she had never realized it was there before , and spotted sprinkles, and couldn't figure out what they were there for!

I think it's a beautiful setting and while PPO is not as big of an advantage now, you can show up early, and get in as soon as they will let you, and still get done good pics on Main Street. Check in right at 8 to get seated asap, and ask for check in the beginning to help with time. I will agree with TiggerTrigger about characters taking longer recently. We were there a few weeks ago, and got first two right away, but had to wait a while from other two to make it over. The waiters did check in though to see who you were waiting for, and let you know approximate arrival time. You can also ask if you are still missing one when you are ready - I heard them asking about getting a character stopping over for a family who was waiting to leave. Either way, you are already in the park, and through security, so you can hop on your way as soon as you are done!

A typical breakfast but I do like the omelets there and it is beautiful in there. Character interaction has always been 1st rate there and I understand the characters are signing again (I refuse to pay for characters that just pass out cards). Never had a single issue there just a nice place to eat.

We're going for the first time in January as well - a late breakfast on 1/21.

My daughter LOVES Pooh Bear, so it's an absolute no-brainer for us. If the food is halfway decent too, great!
