What do you think would be better?
We have eaten at Crystal Palace SO many times, but it like a tradition now. Thinking Whispering Canyon might be fun. We are planing on going to the Chip and Dale Campfire and thought it might be nice to eat there first.
We have two other chacter breakfasts scheduled: Chef Mickey and Tusker House. None of us have eaten at Tusker House and it would be my DS's 1st time eating at Chef Mickey. He does like Mickey more than Pooh and friends.

Or any other suggections for places to eat on a MK day with campfire aftrwards. This meal would go toward table serve on the DDP.

Thanks! :flower3:

I personally have never been to Whispering Canyons, but I remember hearing on the podcast how the little boy of one of a listener had the best time at Whispering Canyon Cafe. He had dropped his fork and the cast member assigned to his table brought out a 4 foot tall fork to replace the one he had dropped. Of course other cute things happened like the ketchup bottles and the singing. Apparently this was what the little boy talked about for the rest of the trip. I believe he was somewhere around 7 years old. It seems like it might be nice to try something different and since you'll be over by the campfire anyway, I say give it a shot! If it's not your cup of tea, Crystal Palace will be there for your next trip! :)

My kiddos loved Whispering Canyon and still want to go back each year -- it is a fun time for dinner. Lot's of interesting laughs for everyone and the Wildnerness lodge is a beautiful property if you have not seen it.

My suggestions is to try something new!

The thing with WCC is to have your child ask your server for ketchup. But, you have to have a good server. I think they also do the wooden horse races. I like trying new restaurants each trip.

CP breakfast is much better than WCC dinner

CP breakfast!

WCC is hit or miss. Does anyone have comments on WCC for bfast? maybe that could be an option.

WCC, for sure! The food was fantastic and the servers antics were hilarious!!!

OP here....Breakfast at WCC is not an option. The day we are goin to MK is EMH and I want to get there early. We have CP ADR foir breakfast and we are planning on going to the chip and dale campfire that evening since MVMCP is that night and not the night we are going.
With 2 other character breakfasts planned I am now re-thinking things. Not sure if I want to "waste" MK park time with going to breakfast at CP. Our ADR is at 9:10AM. If it was earlier it would be different..... maybe.....:confused3

No way would I burn prime park time with a sit down meal. We love CP for breakfast when we can get an 8:05 ADR and the park is opening at 9:00.

The day we are going to MK is on 12/3 EMH, opening at 8AM. My sis, a past Disney CM said we could go fget a fast pass and ride one ride then go to breakfast and head to the ride we have the fast pass. But now I'm thinking why not just grab some quick bites, get rides in while DS2 is not crabby and tired. Since we are planning on leaving MK around 5 or 6 that day for campfire we can eat a sit down dinner before hand.

I guess at this point it's all up to whether I can get an earlier ADR for WCC....

If we do get an earlier ADR, how much time should be planned for dinner at WCC and travel to the campfire?

Thanks everyone!

We love both places!! WCC meal took us about 30-45 minutes. The food came out quickly and we got full quickly!! The bottomless milkshakes did us in! LOL! :rotfl:

That was my thought - we have been to both - overall I think CP is best at breakfast (rather than dinner or lunch) and this last time when we had a late breakfast was best of all. WCC was great first time, so so second but would still say try it - it is fun - I'm just not mad about that type of food.

We have had the same debate and have finally decided that we are going to do WC for dinner.
