I'm wondering which meal I should book for my trip in May. I'm really looking forward to a character meal with Pooh and company :p

I've been reading the reviews and it seems that the best time to go is for breakfast ... I'm sort of leaning more towards lunch or dinner because breakfast is included in our hotel package. I haven't read too much about lunch yet and it seems there are a lot of mixed reviews about dinner...

TIA!

We've done both the breakfast and dinner. We prefer the breakfast. First of all the children that are there are better behaved because they are not tired! Also found the interaction with the characters to be better in the a.m. than the p.m.

And by having breakfast there, you're already in MK and ready for your day!

But that's only my opinion and DD's!

Have fun with whichever one you do!

Hi Bunnyfoo, If you make PS for breakfast for around 10am you will be among the last round of people seated.(this is really good character wise if res. is not full) We do this and it serves as a Brunch for my family. We then may do a snack in the late afternoon. You could also grab something light at your "breakfast included" to get you to the 10am PS. I have only done breakfast at The Crystal Palace and it has always been excellent!! The only item they seemed to have changed since the remodel is that they no longer have Lemon Poopyseed cake on the bar at Breakfast:( . The waitress told me that this was a decision made by the Chef?? This was a REALLY BAD decision :( that was my FAVORITE cake at WDW. Joan

We do the same thing as Joan S. We get a breakfast seating for about 10:15 - 10:30 on a day that MK has early entry. We get to the park at 8:00 and by 10:30 we don't mind taking a break. Last week we had a PS for 10:20 and it worked great. The restaurant wasn't full so the characters came around pretty fast. Great breakfast food also!

I have never tried lunch or dinner but breakfast is WONDERFUL!!!! The food is great, the character interaction is wonderful and the atmosphere is beautiful.

Thanks for the advice everyone :) Looks like we're going to do a slightly later breakfast at CP ... Just a couple more days before I can call for a PS :teeth:

I've been to the CP numerous times for lunch and it has always been wonderful! If you have small children like I do, lunch really is the perfect time. You don't have to take any of your precious morning touring time and by 12PM the kids are ready for a nice relaxed break. What better than great food with Pooh and friends walking around. If you get breakfast in your package, try CP for lunch. I am always telling my friends that they have to try it. It is such a nice break right when you need it most!:D

I would like to second christophfam's vote for going to the Crystal Palace for lunch. We had a 12:30 PS seating there last March, and the timing was perfect. The kids were hot and tired from the mad dash around the park in the morning, and were more than ready for lunch (with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore, of course!) It was a wonderful break, the restaurant was cool and lovely, with such a great ambiance, and the food was delicious (the best we had out of all our character meals on the trip). We will definitely be going there for lunch again on our next WDW visit.

Another vote for lunch. It is nice to get out of the sun and crowd for lunch and sit in the cool air for awhile

Hmm ... just when I thought I was going to book a breakfast ;) What are the crowds at lunch like? Is it more busy than breakfast or dinner?

depending on when you go, it can be packed at all 3 meals. Last May I tried to get a lunch or dinner PS about 2 weeks before our trip. They had no PS's for any of the 3 meals so I made a PS for 1900 PF for dinner (it was still pooh at the time). We were finally able to get a breakfast PS the night before, so I cancelled the 1900 PF dinner PS. On our trip before that we had the earliest lunch PS. While we were waiting outside for them to clear the breakfast crowd thye announced that they were booked for the day and anyone wihtout a PS should leave.

BTW I really like taking a nice break at lunch. It really recharges us for the rest of the day. We usually hit the parks from opening to closing, so the hour- 1 1/2 hrs or so we "waste" keeps us going for the rest of the day.
