Crystal Palace before park opening?

Is it hard to get ADRs for Crystal Palace before park opening?? We're going in October and I really want to get an 8 - 8:15am ADR, but I'm afraid that all the +10s will take the ressies.

Anyone have any luck lately?

I was surprized that I was able to get one rather early in my trip. I thought I would have to pick a date later but was able to get an 8:05am 5 days into my vacation.

I think because there hasn't been a GP Free Dining offer this year for the fall season, there isn't as many people trying to book ADR's. It may have also helped that the Free Dining covered most months earlier this year-which may have spread out some of the regular Free Dining fans.

I had no problem getting an 805am ressie for our trip in Late May/Early June and we have free dining going on at that time. Early ADR's were available for CP for atleast a week after as well. I even snagged a 810am ressie for CRT a couple of weeks after our 180 days out. Le Cellier for lunch was readily available as well! The only reservation I wasn't able to get for the exact time I wanted was Tusker House - I wanted 8am but got 815am instead. I still try online everyday for that coveted 8am ressie though.

If our 180 days out wasn't bad, I don't think your's will be any different. I really like the 180 days out - our last trip was 90 days out and it was way more difficult.

Snagging an early ADR for the CP gives you a chance to see the park virtually empty. The food is good, too!

It's one of our favorites meals and a great way to start your day.
I've never had trouble getting an early ADR. Good luck!

We're going mid-Sept booked under the general public Free Dining.

My TA was not able to get first seating at CP but I kept checking a few times daily and was able to pick it up about 10 days later.

People change their reservations all the time. If you don't get first seating for some reason, keep checking daily and you'll surely snag it!

I'm at 159 days out and still trying to get a slightly better Ohana time spot.

When I first got all of my ADRs for our upcoming May trip, I had no problem getting an 8:05am ADR there (but we fall into the +10 category), then a week later I decided to change our MK day to another day but still wanted a early ADR at CP and I was still able to get a 8:05am. Flash forward to a couple weeks ago DH and I decided to revamp our ADRs and drop ones that we didn't care if we went to or not and and get better times for the ones that we already had. As I was looking at our days (park hours and such), I noticed that the day I had CP for 8:05am was early EMH, so I decided to try and get an ADR for another MK day. It took me a couple of days but I was still able to get an early seating...instead of 8:05am, we are eating there at 8:25am which is o.k. since the park is opened until 2am that day, so we don't mind getting there then. So with that all said, I would not worry about your ADRs, definitely try to get the time you want and if not then be very persistent and obsessive with the online dining....someone is always canceling. We got online at exactly 180 days and were able to get an 8:15 for the day we wanted! Woo Hoo! Good luck!

I only booked our trip at about 90 days out and I got both Crystal Palace and Tusker House at 8:10am on the days I wanted to do those parks. Our trip is in May though - after spring breaks, before schools get out so maybe that is why. Only thing I can't seem to get is Chef Mickey's!

We have never had a problem getting an early ADR. In fact, we are going Memorial Day weekend and was able to get an 8:05 ADR in February.

Didn't have a problem getting an 8:15 ADR for CP for our upcoming trip in August.
