I just made an ADR at CP for 6:10 on the night I got tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party...is this a good time? I figured since it's a buffet it won't take long and we cna be out my 7 (does that sound right?)

its OK, 5:30 would be perfect. ( I think you will have a hard time getting out by 7pm, more like 7:30ish)Even though it is a buffet, it is always crowded and you can take another 15-20 minutes to be sat from your reservation time. Plus once you are there, you will want to be there until all the characters come to your table. The only issue you will have is getting a good seat for the first parade. That is if you are not just planning on going to the second one. (which is less crowded) If you are planning to see the first parade..try moving the time to 5:30. enjoy the party

Never been to MVMCP before, but we have a 5:00 ADR on the night we plan to go. I am hoping to be out of there in about an hour as well, but I am also worried about the wait time to get our table. Wonder if we'll be there on the same night?? lol

You should be fine with a 5PM ADR. I have been and the 5PM seating works well for the night of any special event. Anything later then 5:30 is not so good due to wait time delays and who wants to rush down their food. I'm on vacation and don't want to rush myself I'm here to enjoy every min. Havy a wonderful time and sit back and relex and savor every min. you have earned it.

We had dinner at CP last year before the MNSSHP. We had a 5:30 ADR but since we only had a late breakfast we were starving before we even got to the park. We went in at 4pm....stopped on Main St. for some photopass pics and then went to see if we could get seated early. It was about 4:20 when we got to the podium and they said we could be seated early but it take about 15-20 minutes......the ended up calling our name before I even found a seat....it was only 4-5 minutes. We were finished dinner and back outside by 5:30 which was perfect. We found that we got to see and do everything before 11pm.

I would suggest doing what we did, it will be our plan for future visits also. Have a late breakfast(brunch), around 10:30 and then and early dinner. If need be you can have a snack or 2 in between.

We booked lunch here the day of the party.

If you don't care about seeing all the characters, you can be in and out "fairly" quickly -- just ask your CM to charge your meal right after you order. As others have said, the things that can slow you down are a wait for your table, the wait to have all the characters circulate, and the time to get your bill settled.

We decided to do CP this year as well. We have booked a 4:00 reservation for MVMCP, this will give us time to relax and enjoy dinner. We hate feeling rushed.

That's funny--we are doing the exact same thing! Dinner at CP at 5:00ish before MVMCP.

I was reading on two other threads...one that says you can get in at 4:00pm with your MVMCP tickets and another that says you can't get in until 7:00pm. So....now my question is about whether we can get in for CP at 5:00 if we have tickets for MVMCP only....??? Anyone have a definitive answer about that?

Yes, 5PM ADR's will be fine for your MVMCP night. They set up the MVMCP turnstiles/wristband distribution at 4PM.

Yes....you can get in at 4pm. I've done it more than once. They let you in at 4 but the special party stuff doesn't start until 7.
