We are going to Magic Kingdom on the 19th of December and have ADR at CP for 8:30. Wishes starts at 10pm that night and I want to know if we should be able to see the fireworks from CP, or should we try to eat quickly and move before that time? I was hearing someone say the balcony was lovely for viewing and thinking if we could eat there and get to see it that would be swell. Anyone done this or have better advice?

There are good viewing spots on the walkway just outside CP ... not sure how crowded it will be at that time of year though :confused3

CP is known to be slow in seating people. You shouldn't be surprised if you are seated way past your ADR time. If this happens, you probably won't be finished dining before Wishes starts. If you are finished, then you'll have to be satisfied with watching from the area just outside the CP. All of the other prime watching spots will be full. By balcony: if you mean the porch at CP, I'm not sure if you would be allowed to remain there, since people waiting to get into CP would probably be taking up a lot of the space.

There is no outdoor seating at Crystal Palace while you eat. We happened to have a window seat and the view of wishes was very minimal.

We were there in May, just dh and I. When we were almost done the cm told us we could go out on the porch and watch wishes. Well what a mistake that was. It was like a zoo out there.

I am sure not all of the people who were standing on the porch were actually diners or who had just finished dining at CP. It seemed like everyone and his brother was there. Worse, I have mobility problems so I really cant stand long. My wheelchair was down in the parked area and just having to have dh go and get it was like a salmon swimming upstream.

We werent planning on seeing wishes from the CP porch, it just worked out that way. It was not a good experience. I cant imagine how it would be during times closer to a holiday, probably so much worse. I am assuming the porch is open to all disney guests for viewing.

Best of luck.

Yikes!!:scared: I may have to change my reservation if someone cancels closer to the date so I can avoid that mess. Thank you all for the advice.
