Hi all,

I made an ADR for Crystal Palace for 8:10 am. I did this because it would have gotten us in the park before it opened. However, Magic Kingdom has now changed their hours to open at 8am. I'm not sure whether to cancel and book it for later so we don't miss the minimal waits in the morning. Any thoughts?

We are in the same boat and we are canceling. We aren't crazy for the Pooh characters but love to go in early, get some empty-street castle shots on the walk to CP, eat a hearty buffet and be out by 9am looking to go on some rides. This isn't the case anymore so we just don't feel the cost and time is worth it.

We're in the same boat for our CRT reservation. Will we be able to enter early if our ADR is 8:10 like OP, but park opens at 8? What time should we arrive at the gate to enter? We're staying at BLT so will walk over. Thanks!

We're in the same boat - we have an 8:10, and when we booked it MK was slated to open at 9 that day. Now MK will open at 8 with EMH from 7-8 on top of that. We'll likely cancel since our main reason for booking was that it would be a pre-park opening ADR, and that's no longer the case.

I'm in the same boat with CRT reservations. My daughter has her heart set on it, so I'll keep it even if I can't change it. I heard they'll still let you in early but not sure when I should get there.

They let us in 20min ahead of time. Haven't tried earlier. I too would keep CRT. I would just get 3 fairly early FP that day and then try to get more as the day goes along. I would book SWMT or A&E FP with a window opening about 1.25hrs after your CRT reservation.

That's good, I was wondering how that would work with the pre-opening show but I guess 20 minutes beforehand they haven't started the show, right? Got the FP we wanted, of course with Elsa and Anna, you take what you can get, which meant for us a 4:30 FP. I figure at this point after months of planning, I just have to remember it'll be fun no matter what. Everything can't be perfect, right?

When you arrive go to the far left hand side and there is an entrance for people with ADR's - at least that is where it used to be. Just tell them you have an ADR. Go in before the pre show so you can take empty park castle pics.

And yes, it will be a lot of fun. Don't stress enjoy it. And you are lucky to get A&E FP. We were not lucky so we will be heading back there at Rope Drop

Is there a bad wait time if you have later reservations? I've got a 8:30 and 8:20 for CP when MK opens at 9. Or is this just so you're done eating before the rides start up and you're first in line to a ride with long wait times?

I would be at CP by 8:00am. Sometimes they will seat you earlier, like 8:15am. If not, take pictures by the castle and wait. And the masses are coming in at 9am so if you are in Fantasyland by 9:30am, you should be fine. The buffet goes pretty quick, especially if you have an earlier reservation.

If you're up for an earlier breakfast, try searching for an earlier time - looks like they've added CP breakfast hours on the days when the park is opening earlier than previously planned. I was able to snag a 7:00am ADR - with 7-8am EMH it won't help us beat ride lines, but it will at least get us into the park a little early for some pre-RD pictures. (If you do this, search for the specific time in this instance instead of just "breakfast." When I searched for breakfast, the earliest resulting time was 7:20. I searched again for 7:00 and it popped right up.)

I was able to snag BOG at 815am and then I realized there are EMH at 8am that day!! Still undecided if I should cancel or not :/

We wanted a pre-park opening ADR at CP last trip, but it turned out there were EMH hours on the day we wanted it. We decided to get an ADR around ten instead, and it worked out great for us. We got to do several rides before breakfast, and breakfast filled us up so much that we just skipped lunch. I would definitely consider moving the reservation later if I were you.
