Not a bad idea....or better still just head on over to the GCH for a nice afternoon swim (& you can pick up some new ones). The hound family usually arrives between 1-2pm with our flip flops & ice chest in hand....nothing like having fun on the GCH "cement pond" pool slide on the first day.

LOL I'm glad you got your hotel booked. We are staying at the Tropicana this weekend (and we were there in July). The pool area is fine, nothing like the resorts but the kids like it. And as Hound mentioned, no annoying lush greenery to attract the bees, which in my case is actually good since I can have horrible allergic reactions to bee stings. I can also have not so horrible reactions but who wants to get stung? I've never stayed in a suite though.....I didn't even know they had those! LOL

Congrats!

We booked at the last minute, (the day before) and got one of the last standard rooms at the GCH in June and when we checked in we were upgraded to a suite with a view of DCAs Grizzly Run area! Sweet! Wishing you the same pixy dust.
