Edit: The ride I want to know about is Crush n Gusher.

Thanks.

My 9 yr old DD asked something about a raft ride at Typhoon? We have never been to TL, so I do not know.

Can anyone tell me the name of it, and more importantly what is the ride like? Can you fall off of it? :confused3

Thanks!

There is a family Tube ride where 4 (but maybe more) can fit in one raft and go down the slide.
There is a lazy river tube ride that winds through the park.
There is a raft water coaster that you can ride in groups of two and three.

I don't think you could "fall off of it" unless you were not following directions.

Gangplank falls maybe? If that's the one, it's not worth wasting any time. :flower:

The family raft ride at TL is L-A-M-E. You have to pick up your raft at the take out point and roll it to the put in place. It takes longer to do that than the ride itself.

The one at BB is much, much better.

The Crush n Gusher has 3 different slides which you can go down in 2 or 3 person tubes. There are water jets along the slides which allow you to go uphill like a roller coaster. There are also twists and turns along the way and you end up in a very shallow pool at the bottom. DS6 and I rode on each one at least twice and had a blast! Just be sure you clench your butt muscles and lift your butt up as you go down or you may get bruised.

I am not a good swimmer. Can I go on this? Do the twists and turns make you feel like you are out of control? Can't you tell I am a fraidy cat! :earseek:

My DH, DD13, and I just did it for the first time last Monday. I was a little nervous, but it was great. We all loved it. If you hold on to the handles and remember to lift your butt up a bit, you'll be fine. I never felt like I would fall out. The water at the end that you go into is only a couple of feet deep, so even if you can't swim, its no problem. I had more of a problem trying to get out of the tube at the end than falling out of it. We did all three slides that they have once and then did the Banana Blaster a second time as that was our favorite. Enjoy the ride! :flower:

As others have said "Keep your butt up!" Even the CMs at the top remind you of this. I was much better my second time in July than the first in April. I did all three with DH last month, but have a terrific memory of DS16 "screaming like a girl" as he got air when riding with me, and DS24 in April. No air in the back for Pooh sized me, just a great water coaster!

You don't feel like you are going to fall out, and the water at the end of the ride isn't deep, waist high maybe. Be warned though, you can really move on this ride. We loved it! Oh yeah, and watch those rollers......lol
