We have a local newsmagazine show here that is so bad, it's painful to watch. The host of the show makes me nauseous. Do you have any really bad local TV shows in your area?

YES!!

One of our local newsmen is so horrible. Oh goodness when you watch him you litereally don't know whether to feel sorry for him or laugh about it.

Yes. It's so terrible that my bf and I can NOT believe it's still on. It's called, "Havin' a Beer With Mike" and is the STUPIDEST waste of tv space in this world. It has a midget who doesn't talk, a scary guy that looks like a fat Richard Simmons, and the show itself has NO POINT. Here's the websiteif you feel like wasting a few moments of your life.

When I lived in Somerville MA, we had a local channel that showed an hour of local karaoke bars and the people who sang there a day. Or maybe it was once a week.

It was horrendous.

I'm cracking up. I did waste a little bit of my life to check out the website.

ah, public access tv is a wonderful thing...NOT!

The local colleges here have their own cable channels and I've seen some weird (and bad) stuff on there. LaSalle University had "LaSalle Idol", where there were only 3 contestants who all sung sooooo badly, and they actually wanted you to call in and vote. And it was serious, not a joke!

There's also the State of Pennsylvania channel that shows tours of different factories in PA- they had a tour of a casket company once- that was a little weird!

UGH! A local high school here (where I'm in college) has a show for high school students to call in for help with homework. GREAT IDEA! I really do love the idea...BUT the guy who hosts it was a former teacher of mine for high school chemistry (5 hours away from here no less, he moved the same year I started college, how lucky can I get) and he not only called me stupid daily, but he was also extremely harassing in inappropriate ways to myself and other girls in my class...It makes me miserable to see that awful man on tv, especially when I tried so many times to report him (keep in mind, he did the same thing in front of my mother, as in called me stupid and made some wrong comments) so she knew I was telling the truth, and the principal would never do anything about it...My dad, a principal, got so upset about it...And I couldn't get out of the class because he was the only teacher who taught chemistry....Ugh, horrible memories whenever I see that. Sorry so long.

He have Ray-Z here...who I recently discovered on local cable. He is a boy of about 15-17 years old. Here's the set up...
Stationary camera in what appears to be a basement. The background wall has "RAY-Z tv" spraypainted across it. There is some sort of desk, but I've never seen him use it for anything other than a place to put his hat. From what I've seen (I've never watched for more than 5 minutes), the young "man" has a boombox off camera, which he walks OFF camera to go to, skips through some rap songs until he finds one he likes, then dances around in front of the camera...gangsta style...He also has a microphone which he uses every 30 seconds or so to shout 2 or 3 of the songs lyrics.......
The worst part is, during the songs, he strips! I had to turn it off when his scrawny little body couldnt hold up his pants and his butt was hanging out!

We have a cable channel that City Council controls....they are clueless....

on a related ( i hope) topic...how dumb are your weathermen?

Ours couldn't get the weater right if they opened a window and stuck their heads out..INCLUDING whether it was day time or night time...

for example....there was a Church bazaar various bands / performers / acts were gong to appear at...one of the esteemed meteorologists on the 6 PM news urged everyone to attend the function...AND he plugged the barbershop quartet he was in....AND he forecast a pleasant evening...

so....he shows up...i tell him before his barbershop quartet goes on that it looks like a storms coming....

he "pshaws" at me....and goes on stage...

well halfway through "Sweet Adelaide"....lightening....thunder...HAIL....rain...

all i said was "good call Tom"....

he "harumphed" at me when he ran for his car.....
