CruisingCA is back to WISHing....

Rae Ann, I'm glad that everything went alright for you yesterday.

You have been doing so great, the intensity of your workouts amazes me!

Congratulations on the new tag! :teeth:

Glad to hear you are doing well Rae Ann. Did they say how long before you could get back to exercising? You have motivated so many of us with these exercise challenges! Thanks again for keeping it going.

I had my tubal done after the birth of my 3rd...cesarian.

I'm going to the mall later...I'm going to check out some of the Cathe videos.

I've still never been tagged!

Take it easy!

Gail

The doctor said that I can start exercising anytime I feel up to it. I got some walking in yesterday. I even went shopping at Macy's because they were having an additional 50% off sale on summer clothing. I even bought a bikini for our trip to Hawaii. Sure it may not be the size that I'd like but it looks okay. Hopefully I can get a smaller size before our December trip...if not, I know I can get a smaller size by our Disney cruise next June.

I haven't really been watching what I've been eating the past few days. I can't eat much anyway. I just don't feel like it.

Today I did a little bit of a step workout before the gas started to bother me again. It's getting a lot better but I still get uncomfortable once in a while. Tomorrow I'll try an easy workout to see how I feel. My belly button is a little bruised. It looks funny.

DD has been her usual charming self thanks to DH's coaching. Now her lastest thing is - "The president is George W. Bush. The governor is the Terminator. Terminator says, "I'll be back."

Your daughter sounds so cute!! New tags are cool - congratulations!!

I hope today finds you feeling all better after your surgery. It will take time for your body to heal, so be careful with the exercise, OK?

Even if you're not eating totally on plan, just try to make the best choices you can!! :sunny:

Let me know if any of you want a gmail account. I have a few invitations to give out....

Hi RaeAnn,

Take it easy on yourself. You just recovered from surgery. I know you want to jump back in, but you could strain those internal stitches. Light walking is a great idea. It will help with the gas tremendously. You are doing an amazing job, and I bet the bikini looks great on you.

If you have any gmail left,I'd really appreciate a referral. My email is Bethkim@comcast.net.

Thanks Rae Ann,
Beth

Beth:
I'll send you an invite....

Don't worry. I'm taking it easy. I was doing the step without the step...sort of like choreographed walking, nothing intense. It's giving me a chance to learn the steps without really doing all the movements. I'll probably be doing modified workouts (if I do try to do anything) until I see my doctor in 2 weeks. Tonight I'm going to learn that darn Cathe rhythmic step video while lying on my back.

Don't laugh when you see your last name on the email. LOL.

Don't worry, Gail, I'm out of it too! I have no clue what gmail is! LOL

Rae Ann, that's great that you are already confident enough to wear a bikini! The very thought makes me want to :faint:

I think you are doing wonderful considering you just had surgery. Just do your best and get back into full mode when you are completely recovered. :)

Hi Rae Ann!:wave2:

Oh, yeah! I'm a Cathe-ite alright! I used to only FIRM, but found the Ya Yas, VF and Cathe back in March and pretty much do her exclusively. My favorites are probably the entire Intensity Series--I credit IMAX2 for bringing my resting heart rate down to 55 from 71! I return to my FIRMs if I'm having a "I just can't face Cathe" kind of day :) or if I want something a bit more moderate. You're doing POWER 90X without modifications?! :faint: :worship: Did you preorder Hardcore? I did and I can't wait!

I hope you'll be feeling better and be back to Cathe- and Tony-ing real soon! :D I had surgery for a bleeding ulcer (and now have a real pretty sternum-to-belly button zipper! ) and exercising even in the smallest amounts helped me recover so much quicker. I remember the gas in the abdomen (it also traveled up into my shoulders) feeling--sometimes it hurt so badly in my shoulders I swore I was having a heart attack. I'm sending good thoughts and wishes your way for a quick recovery so that you can "Bring It" real soon!:hyper:

Thanks so much for visiting my journal Rae Ann!:sunny:

LOL - I WISH I could do P90X without modifications. Right now I can get through half of PlyoX before I have to stop. Hopefully by next June, I'll be able to finish all the workouts without modifications. Yes, I preordered Hardcore. I can't wait to try them out.

Exercise: None. I'm still taking it easy. I don't want to rush things. :teeth:

Food: I've been eating OP. I don't really have an appetite now. I hope it stays this way. LOL.

Other Stuff: I'm going to the optometrist this afternoon. I broke my glasses a few months ago so I've just been wearing my contacts. It's time for some new glasses. :smooth:

BTW - I have 5 more gmail invites to give out.

Hi Rae Ann,

I just wanted to thank you for the Gmail invite. It will definately come in handy. I average over 100 spam a day. I like getting new glasses, except the price. It can change the entire look of your face. I'm glad you are still taking it easy. Have a great evening.
Beth

I'd say I'm at 90-95% back to normal. I'm still afraid of overdoing things, especially since I read about NewHoliday's stitches bursting.

I didn't have a chance to update the exercise challenge thread for 2 1/2 days because I've been busier than usual. I had meetings at my son's school on Wednesday AND Thursday nights. He goes to Catholic school and the parents have to do a lot of fund raisers and volunteer work. It's a lot of work but I really like his school. By putting in those extra hours, you really get to know the kids and other parents. There will be a back to school picnic next week Saturday but I won't be there because I'll be going to Hawaii. But I signed my husband up for 5 hours of work. :teeth:

Eating: I've been pretty good this past week. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Exercise: Last night I did two new workouts. A cardio salsa workout and a cardio hip hop workout. It was fun and fairly low impact. The only bad thing was my son making fun of mama's hip hop. LOL. I told him he'd better watch out or dad & I will do a hip hop "routine" in front of his friends. :jumping2:

Have a great weekend everyone!

Rae Ann,
You are doing so good since the surgery. You sound like you are having fun with the new workouts. My son's make fun of me too when I dance!!
I have to say I Love Hawaii. I have only been once but it was so much fun. Beautiful climate.
Have fun!
July:sunny:

Hi RaeAnn,

I hope you are having a wonderful and stressfree time in Hawaii. We're hopefully going to Hawaii for our 10th anniversary in 2006. Have a fabulous time,
Beth

Hey Rae Ann! Just stopping by to say  ! Wanted to see how you are doing since surgery. As you can see, I've been doing awful with my exercise...but I am changing that!

Have fun in Hawaii!

Gail
