Cruising, Wining, and Disney Dining - Two 2012 PTRs in One! **TR LINK UP**

wow glad nothing else happend to him and hope he recovers good from it.

OMG!! That is horrible!!! Your poor cousin, and man your sister must have been so freaking out!
I'm relieved to hear that he is gonna be okay, but it sounds like he has a long road ahead of him. Keeping him in my thoughts....

Prayers for your cousin!! That's so scary; I hope he makes a full recovery soon!!

Sounds like you and Kris had a fun dinner date, though!!

Ben has decided that we need to start playing tennis--neither one of us have really EVER played, and he has never talked about tennis for the whole 6 years I've been with him until Saturday!
Let's just say, we are HORRIBLE at it! hahaha It must be pretty comical to watch though!
Ben gets more of a workout out of it than I do, though, becasue he hits the ball over the fence and has to run to get it! lol

That is too crazy that your trip is coming up so fast! I'm so excited to hear about it!

Happy 4th!:3dglasses (<<I used that smiley for the red and blue haha )

WOW what an evening, how scary. I'm so glad he's going to be okay, but man! And it's so sad it was just assumed that he left bc he was drunk! I am glad he was found and is in recovery (sort of, waiting for surgery!). What a weekend!

2 more days and i'm in the 2m+ crowd too!

I LOVE skeeball! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone. He had surgery on Tuesday and it was successful. They released him on Thursday. He has to wear a back brace whenever he's not in a chair and he has a cane to help him walk. He's a very active person, always running or taking snowboarding trips, so he's determined to get back to normal asap. I just hope he doesn't push himself too hard and hurt himself even more. Now they have to deal with the aftermath - I am 99% sure he plans on suing the casino. Tropicana security is a joke. I don't plan on going to Atlantic City ever again. I've always thought that place was a dump and this only made my opinion worse. I just heard on the radio today that someone got shot in the head last night in AC! No desire to ever go there again.

PTR/TR update coming soon...

Hi everyone. I've been a sucky DISer the past week. I'm so behind on everyone's PTRs/TRs and behind on mine as well! The week has just been busy and I wasn't around all weekend. Work is quiet right now so I have some time to update.

I wrote about my cousin in the replies to see above if you would like an update on him.

The plans have changed for Disney again! What else is new? I found a great rate on a car through Dollar - $160 for 9 days! I love Magical Express and don't mind Disney transportation except for when I have to go from resort to resort. Then it becomes a total pain. So for that price we are renting a car. This impacts my birthday plans. I am a Margaritaville addict so we are taking a trip to Citywalk for my birthday. I know, I know, it's going to burst the Disney bubble but it's just one night. But who can argue with Magic Kingdom in the morning and Margaritaville at night? I think we're going to have dinner at Bubba Gump and drinks at Margaritaville & Pat O'Briens. We have gift cards for T-Rex but the same company owns Bubba Gump so we can use them there. So needless to say I canceled my reservation for T-Rex. I moved our Raglan Road ADR to Saturday night so we'll spend that night in DTD. Now, what are my chances of breaking into IoA after hours to ride Forbidden Journey? ;)

Enough babbling - FINALLY A CRUISE UPDATE!

It was awhile ago but I think I left off when we were having lunch and about to check out our room because it was ready. We were in cabin 7116 - lucky us got upgraded from a oceanview stateroom to a balcony! Deck 2 to Deck 7 - we're moving on up! ;)

Our cabin:

I've never had a stateroom with a balcony before. Let me tell you, it is AMAZING! I loved being able to sit out there & watch the sunset. It was so peaceful and a lot less windy than being up on deck. I wish we could have one for a longer cruise. Maybe someday.

More pictures of our room.

After we dropped our stuff off in the room, we decided to explore the ship. We walked around Beat Street and took a tour of the spa before making our way up to the top deck. There was a Carnival ship docked next to us. The Magic was SO much nicer looking than their ship.

Drinks by the pool! I think that was a mojito. I love the Quiet Cove pool. You could just sit poolside and relax with a drink & dip your feet in the water. You can't do that at the family pool! I remember being yelled at for it on the Wonder.

Pretty soon it was time for the lifeboat safety drill. We were lucky that our meeting area was inside Animator's Palate and we could sit down through it. I'm pretty sure we were the only people that rolled up with cocktails. :rolleyes1

After that was done, it was time for the Sailaway party! Stay tuned...

Your stateroom is SO nice! What an upgrade! Haha on all of the pictures of Kris-- our vacation pictures are 85% of Zach. I'm the one who always holds the camera, so of course he's going to be posing!
Glad your cousin's surgery went well-- he definitely should get some kind of settlement from the casino. There should be staff watching out for exactly this situation!

Your room looks really nice!!
We would have totally brought drinks with us to the safety drill!

That picture of the Mickey pool looks like kid soup. Blech.

Great update...lots of pics and I like being able to see the differences between The Magic and The Dream. Looks like a busy pool area for sure!
Glad to hear your cousin is on the mend!!

It's always me taking the pictures! He's a good sport about posing for all of them.

My cousin definitely plans on going after the casino. He was calling for help & no one heard him so he had to stagger out to the casino floor with a broken back to get help. Two people who worked there completely ignored him!

We had lunch right next to the Mickey pool and it was empty because we got on the ship early. An hour later it was complete pandemonium. We steered clear of that area unless we had to go to the buffet.

Glad to hear your cousin is on the mend!!

I really want to sail on the Dream or Fantasy! One of the CMs I talked to said the Fantasy is an improvement on the Dream. Anything that didn't quite work on that ship, they fixed with the Fantasy.

Thanks!

1. I'm glad your cousin is doing okay! All of that stuff about AC sounds scary!! I've never been, and now I don't want to!

2. I bet you will have fun "bursting the Disney bubble" and going to Margaritaville! Like you said, it's just one night, and it's your birthday celebration you can do what you want!!::yes::

3. I love your cruise update!! Ya'lls room was so nice! I would have loved to have that balcony, I'm sure you guys love it! I love all of the pictures you posted from the ship! Your blue Mickey dress it too dang cute! It looks like you guys had such a fun time! Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

Seven months after the following comment, I have something to add.

I will go join the October 2012 thread right now! Thanks girl :goodvibes

Tell Kris that my husband is the exact same way... he's a shy one!

We had a wonderful Christmas, thanks for asking! The build up takes forever, but once it's here, it just goes by way too quickly!

It's hilarious to me that we all have shy guys! But that's how things stay balanced. Us crazy, rowdy, rambunctious girls date the shy ones. Ying and yang.

What the heck? Why haven't I been following your tr? I'm not going to lie, I feel like I slack because I can see your stuff on fb and so I feel like I'm in your loop, but there's so much more depth here. AHHHHH I have missed you and our mutual love for boy bands and Disney.

We also moved in with our boyfriends within like a month of each other! Yay for finding love. :lovestruc

You wanna know what else we have in common? :upsidedow I'm totally going to have to steal your "Read 1 PTR, Get 1 Free" idea. And the first one is a cruise too. The first trip is in Feb 2013 and a cruise/Florida-trip, mostly funded by Garret's dad, with us + Landon, then his brother's family (1 wife, 3 sons) and half-sister (+ her family, but Garret hasn't even met her so we don't have who all is included here :rotfl:). Then we are currently planning on going early November on an adults only trip. I think once I have enough to officially book, I might start the tr then! Because it's really never too late. ::yes::

Sunshine Rewards sounds awesome. I think you'll have to send me a link to them. This may be a silly question, but are these reward sites considered taxable incomes? They sound really great regardless.

Now jump back to Christmas time in your tr. Only because I wanted to tell you that, like Kris, Garret offers nothing in the Christmas decor department UNTIL I was over at his mom's house and we were in his old room to see if we wanted any furniture and I see something with the 5 fab on it and I open it and it's Mickey decorations from a WDW trip when he was just a little guy! I was so excited. Of course, I grabbed them up!

I did like your light up Christmas Mickey head. I have a light up Mickey wreath and sometimes some of the faux-branches fall off and a lot of the decorative leaves on it too. I hope it lasts a bit longer, I love it. Yours looks way more timeless though and like you can enjoy it for years and years to come!

I saw you had a small Amy Adams convo after seeing the Muppets. I never saw that, but I love her and I love Enchanted and I feel slightly connected to her because she actually grew up one town over from me! She's from Castle Rock, Colorado and went to a high school in my district and yeah. Basically, now you know of 2 princesses from CO! ;)

I think it's sad that Kris isn't a seafood person. Has he tried it and hated it or is he just scared? Garret always told me he wasn't a seafood person, but I finally dragged him to Red Lobster and we had lobster pizza, an variety of shrimp, crab legs and lobster tail and now he loves it!! I think shellfish is easier to like. That's basically all I like, though I had mahi mahi at Coral Reef twice and only liked it once. (It wasn't the fish's fault, it was the sauce!)

Ummm...omg. Just realized I forgot about the Be Our Guest restaurant. Good thing I have 16 months to decide if I want to go there or not. :rotfl2:

You know what's odd? We don't have a T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe in CO, but we do have a Landry's. I wish we got one of the cooler ones. Landry's is so expensive, I've never been. I wanted to go for all you can eat crab legs, but I heard it's like $55 a person. :scared1: Skip.

(This is the point in my novel when I realized you just wrote on my fb wall. What a connection we have across all that distance! But seriously, my mind was blown! I was like how do I have a notification FROM her? I was just writing TO her!)

Oh so I saw your hockey post. I know you are a Rangers girl...but I recall us talking about the good ol' Av's days when we won the Stanley Cup and all that. You know that Patrick Roy guy? Yeah, he actually coached Garret's hockey team when he was younger! We have a signed hockey stick of his hanging in our living room. :rotfl2:

Just read...you can get Landry's giftcards on your rewards sites? (I must've glossed over that simply to tell you the riveting news that we don't have any of their themed restaurants here.) I want a giftcard for there!!

Boo. Your Scotland pictures aren't coming up for me. I may have to check back later. Especially considering I've been on your ptr for a few hours!! I'm on like page 41, so...that's just a reminder for me!! lol :rotfl2:

Don't go to AC. Not worth it! It really is a dump. I don't understand why people like it so much.

I love Margaritaville! The closest one to here is 3+ hours away so I rarely get to go. The one at Citywalk is HUGE and I can't wait!

I loved our room on the ship, especially that balcony. I need to take another cruise asap.

Opposites attract I guess? ;)

OMGosh, you weren't kidding when you said you wrote a novel! I can't believe as you were writing this, I wrote on your wall. I swear we'd be BFF if we lived anywhere near each other. We need to go to Disney together. We'd have a blast.

I'm happy to hear about you & your bf! Congrats on moving in together. :)

I'll send you a link to Sunshine Rewards on facebook. My Points is the site I used to get Landry's gift cards. We only have a Rainforest Cafe around here and it's kind of lame. I like T-Rex better and Bubba Gump even more but I have to travel into NYC for that. There are no other Landry's owned restaurants around here.

Amy Adams is amazing! I love, love, love her! Have you ever seen the Fighter? Completely different character from anything else she's ever done and she rocked it! I think she's tied with Emma Stone & Reese Witherspoon for the title of my favorite actress.

I got Kris to try fried shrimp recently. I forget where we were. Crack Barrel I think? He actually liked it probably because with all the batter it tasted like a chicken finger. He doesn't like having to remove the tail though so popcorn shrimp it is for him. Where can I find that in Disney??

That Patrick Roy guy? :rotfl: He's only one of the best goalies of all time! Our second bedroom which is like a little office has all of our sports stuff in it. Kris is obsessed with the Packers. Green & yellow plus red & blue don't exactly mesh...

My Scotland pictures were on my facebook and the album was deleted so that's probably why they're not showing up anymore. Sorry girl!

I miss you!!!

Hi everyone! Really quick before the update, I just wanna say I priced out free dining for our dates because I was curious as to what the difference would be. For our dates with the same ticket options at AKL, it's $3,703.06. We're renting DVC points, paid for our tickets & are paying for the dining plan and we're coming in at $2,170.62. Renting DVC points is the way to go!

When I last left off, it was nearly time for the Sailaway Party. We made our way up to deck 10 and snagged a decent spot on the side of the stage. The CMs were already leading the crowd in singing & dancing and were giving out blue streamers to guests. All I wanted to see were the characters so when the Carnival ship pulled out of port I was easily distracted and snapped a pic.

Then the real stars of the party came out to play! Don't you just love their nautical gear??

Mickey & the gang helped us countdown to when the horn blew (When You Wish Upon a Star, I love it!) and we began moving. When the characters left the stage, Kris and I wandered away from the Goofy pool to find a spot to watch the sights of NYC pass us by.

The Verrazano Bridge

My favorite part of cruising out of NYC is sailing under the bridge.

One side...

Then the other!

229832_10150872630487944_468486822_n.jpg

After we cruised under the bridge, it was almost show time. We had second seating dinner so the show was first. The show our first night was Villains Tonight! hosted by Hades. It was...kind of corny. Not the best Disney show I've ever seen. My favorite part was when Scar took the stage and preformed Be Prepared. Other than that, I wasn't all that impressed.

Me & Walt!

Our first dinner rotation restaurant was Lumiere's. The Wonder & Magic are virtually identical except the Wonder has Triton's. This is considered the more 'upscale' restaurant of the three in rotation. I liked Lumiere's better than Triton's simply because of this reason: I like Belle. I don't like Ariel. :rotfl: I can't remember what we ate but the food was pretty good & our servers were wonderful & very friendly. We got sat with other couples around our age but no one was very chatty. I'm sure on a longer cruise it would have been different but since it was a two nighter, I don't think anyone really cared about getting to know each other!

After dinner it was time for the Pirates' Party! CMs were passing out these sweet tattoos.

181326_10150872630937944_182078398_n.jpg

The Pirates party is cute. The characters take the stage in their pirate garb, dance & sing, get invaded by Captain Hook, and Mickey saves the day. Then the fireworks begin!

The pictures didn't come out great because it was dark & they were constantly moving.

After the fireworks we checked out what was happening on Beat Street & grabbed a drink then headed back to the room. It was a long day and we were beat! We found a snake waiting for us when we got back...

And that concludes day 1! Stay tuned for more adventures on the Disney Magic!

Wow! I knew the one day cruise would be packed with stuff, but wow! I am still surprised. Sounds like an exhausting and exciting day! I love the characters in the sailing gear as well!

Awesome pics cruising under the bridge..I think that would be pretty incredible!

We liked the shows, but I kept thinking the whole time how much the girls would LOVE them. We really enjoyed the pirate night as well...we wore matching t-shirts that we made and got our pic with Daisy in her pirate garb...it was a fun night!

Here we are in our shirts and pirate Mickey ears...the shirts said "It be Arrrrr Anniversary"

Wow, your first day was certainly packed!! Love the NYC pictures -- so. Glad DCL sails out of that port now!
I've heard good things about Villains, but I'm not a big show person (except for straight up musicals), so I probably wouldn't have liked it either. The pirate party sounds really fun, though!

There is a lot going on! We relaxed a little bit more on the second day but the first day we were running allover the ship!

201-2.jpg

Your shirts are so cute! Nice picture :)

I usually like the Disney shows but I wasn't impressed with Villains. I'd seen the Golden Mickeys, Dreams, and Toy Story the Musical prior to this cruise and I loved all three. So I was a bit letdown by Villains.

Love the Cruise update. And I LOVE your sundress!!! Where did you get it? The Disney store!?!?

The characters in both outfits are just SO CUTE!!

Thanks! I found it in one of the gift shops at the Contemporary. It was on sale! They had a bunch of different colors but I love the color of that dress.

Yep we were busy, busy, busy!

Villains was definitely the worst I've seen of the DCL shows. Kris didn't even want to go back the following night to see Dreams but I assured him it was 100x better than Villains.

Loaded Coronas sound awesome!! How do you make those bad boys? Margaritaville is seriously the best. YUM!

K I'm doing the Disney survey hahahahaha. (I'll make it a quote so it's easily skippable. And also so we can compare answers! :goodvibes)

I have a feeling this is going to be making the rounds on our PTRs! Stolen from ash-n-brensmom :)

DISNEY WORLD SURVEY

1. What is your name?::

My real name is Jen. As for a Disney name, I don't have one! Kris is definitely Goofy.

Kimmy. I think my Disney name would just be Princess Kimmy.

2. When was the first time you went to Disney World?::

Summer 1990 or 1991. I can't remember!

I went for one day when I was like 9? I hardly remember it. But my first real trip was Sept. 2009

3. When was the last time you went to Disney World?::

October 2010

June 2011...too long ago!!

4. When is the next time you will be in Disney World?::

October 2012

Feb 2013

GETTING THERE

5. How do you usually get to to Disney World?::

We fly but I've driven a couple of times.

By plane!

6. What do you do to pass the time while getting there?::

Usually watch the TV in the seatbacks. Please tell me Southwest has this. Otherwise I'll have to find a good book or by some gossip mags!

Magazines, books, sleep. Or entertaining Landon if I can't get him to sleep!

7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?::

Driving from NJ to Florida will give you lots of interesting memories. All I can say is, don't stop within 100 miles of South of the Border! Scary place!

One time we sat next to this really fun dad (his family was across the aisle) and he let Landon play Angry Birds on his iPad and then when we went through turbulance, we all put our hands in the air like a rollercoaster. So fun.

LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property::

Wilderness Lodge. I loved the ambiance and even though you were so close to MK, it really did feel like you were tucked away in the middle of the woods. Awesome resort!

Old Key West...it is so relaxing, peaceful and pretty! LOVE IT.

9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

I haven't really had a bad experience at any of the resorts!

I'm in the same boat as you, Jen!

MAGIC KINGDOM

10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?

Ohhh, this is a tough one but I have to say the Haunted Mansion.

Splash, hands down! Love the story and the fun drop!

11. What is your least favorite attraction in the MK?

Stitch's great escape! Is there anyone that actually likes this ride?

My thoughts exactly.

12. Tell me a random memory you have involving the MK.

The first time I returned after a 15 year absence, I skipped around the park. Then while trying on ears at one of the shopping carts, the CM told me 'Go say hi to Mary Poppins! She's right over there!'

One time during a parade, Jafar was walking up to me and I was like "AHHHH Jafar" and he sorta shrugged like "What did I do to you?" (Random enough? Lol)

13. What is your favorite place to eat in the MK?

Pecos Bill's

Casey's

EPCOT

14. What is your favorite attraction in Epcot?

Test Track

Test Track

15. What is your least favorite attraction in Epcot?

Honey I Shrunk the Audience. It's just so outdated and I hate watching that Kodak advertisement in the beginning.

Idk...I skip a lot of rides here because I don't think I'll like them. But I like all the ones I've been on!

16. Tell me a random memory you have involving Epcot.

Walking around the World Showcase after one too many margaritas in Mexico and feeling very giddy!

One time Landon and I were waiting for the rest of our party and he sits down and stares intently at a park map like he was mapping out where we were going. It cracked me up!

17. What is your favorite place to eat in Epcot?

Biergarten

Via Napoli!

18. What is your favorite country in the World Showcase?

It's probably a tossup between Mexico, UK, and Canada. I love margaritas, pubs & Beatle cover bands, and cheddar cheese soup.

France!

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

19. What is your favorite attraction in HS?

Tower or Terror. If I could marry that ride, I would.

Tower of Terror, back off my ride!! If anyone is marrying ToT, it's me! :rotfl:

20. What is your least favorite attraction in HS?

American Idol. Ryan Seacrest's voice makes my ears bleed. I hate even walking by it.

Probably the Disney Junior show. Sorry Landon.

21. Tell me a random memory you have involving HS.

Having the opportunity to open the park back in 2009. What an amazing experience!

One time a CM named Thor gave me a bunch or re-rides and even took me on a tour with the other working CM's of the security viewing area! So fun seeing everyone's faces in the dark!

22. What is your favorite place to eat in HS?

Pizza Planet

Starring Rolls!!

23. Do you watch the Citizens of Hollywood?

Nope. One approached me once but that was about it.

Eh rarely. I did get a ticket once.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

24. What is your favorite attraction in the AK?

Everest

Definitely Everest.

25. What is your least favorite attraction in the AK?

Rafiki's Planet Watch. It's a waste of time.

Some of the space-filling rides in Dinoland. Some are great, some are not.

26. Tell me a random memory you have involving the AK.

Before Everest officially opened, they were running a soft opening for CMs. I tried to sneak in. It didn't work out.

One time my friend and I saw a rainbow over Everest and freaked out with joy.

27. What is your favorite place to eat in the AK?

Tusker House

Tusker House!! yum!!

OTHER DISNEY PLACES

28. Which water parks have you been to and which one was your favorite?

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon. I'll be trying Blizzard Beach this trip!

none

29. What was your favorite part about that water park?

Crush n Gusher!

30. Have you been to Disney Quest?

Yes

no :(

31. What was your favorite thing about Disney Quest?

The elevator ride with the Genie. After that it was all downhill.

32. Have you been to the Wide World of Sports?

No.

No.

33. What was your favorite thing about the Wide World of Sports?

N/A

EXTINCT DISNEY

34. What are some of your favorite attractions that are no longer around?

I really don't remember much from my first trip. I do remember the live Muppets show and think it would be cool if that were still around.

Now I'll have to say Snow White. I actually do remember that one from my first trip.

35. Have you ever been to Discovery Island when it was still running?

No.

No.

36. Have you ever been to River Country when it was still running?

No.

No.

37. What was your favorite part about the now shut down Pleasure Island?

Rubix Cube

Never been. I was too young anyway.

38. What is your favorite extinct show/parade?

The motorcars parade at DHS. The pixar one is a snooze.

I'm going to go with the Princess & Pirates Party in the MK as a whole. Even though I never went.

Eat at Ohana. Watch Wishes.

Ride Tower of Terror and get a cupcake from Starring Rolls.

Dole Whip float!

Besides cupcakes, I must eat at Kona!

41. What is something you haven't done yet that you look forward to doing?

Going to Blizzard Beach, eating at Les Chefs de France & Raglan Road.

Actually, your answer sounds about right for me too!

42. What is something you have done and have no interest in doing again?

Staying at Pop Century. I've stayed there so many times and while I like it, I'm over it.

Stitch.

43. Who is your favorite Disney female?

Belle, Sleeping Beauty

Belle!

44. Who is your favorite Disney male?

Jack Sparrow

James P Sullivan.

45. Who is your favorite Disney villain?

Maleficent

Definitely Maleficent!

46. Your earliest Disney Park Memory::

My mom tricking me into going on Haunted Mansion. She told me it was BTMRR. I don't know why I believed her!

Snow White's Scary Adventures! And I remember the parade.

47. What other Disney Parks have you been to outside of Disney World?

Disneyland and DCA

none.

48. Have you ever had to explain your love for Disney to someone who just didn't "get" it?

I don't bother explaining it to the people who don't get it. If they don't see what I see, they're missing out!

Eh I don't really care if they don't get it. They are clearly very wrong. :rotfl:

49. Blasphemous I know, but where is your favorite place to travel outside of Disney?

Cruise

I really enjoyed Cancun last year.

50. Which Disney character reminds you of you?
I guess I'd have to say Belle. She's a brunette and loves to read just like me!

We are twins!! I love Belle, being a brunette, and reading!! Ahhh books. :lovestruc

Anywho, I love Via Napoli. Although by now, you've been there so my opinion doesn't matter. I hope you got a pitcher of sangria.

I missed all the fun cruise countdowns. But I think it's funny that you got Kris hooked on spas!! I really need to add something extra when we go. Can you believe he's never had a professional massage? I think he would like the massage part, but idk if he'd be comfortable because I don't know if he'd fit on the table! :rotfl2: He's 6'6". So...yeah.

YUM!!! I love the Melting Pot. We went there earlier this year, but only when it was cheap! Denver has this thing called 5280 Week, where nearly EVERY restaurant offers their most popular meals for only $52.80 per COUPLE. Such a bargain. We got 4 courses there too!! Love it. Although I wonder if I could convince Garret to pick that for his birthday dinner on Saturday...Hmmm...Now my wheels are turning.

Anywho...now I'm cruise report reading! Woo!! :hyper:

You got one of the last parking spots?? What would've happened if it was filled? Parked further away? Park some place sketchy and/or more expensive? Anywho...yay for getting that spot!

Yum, Paradise Punch!! How were the alcoholic drinks on the cruise? Sickenly sweet and weak? Delicious and surprisingly strong? Disgustingly strong? I need to know if I should save money or bring my own if I want something!!

I want a platinum lanyard!! I'm not even a fraction of the way there yet.

Do you stay in PA to launch fireworks? Or bring them back home, you rebel? Usually people sneak some in here (where they are illegal also...even our states match!! :rotfl:) from Wyoming or people get a bunch of cheap ones that stay on the ground and just spew sparkles or whatever. But this year with the wildfires ALL OVER Colorado, I didn't hear one single one, legal and lame or otherwise.

OMG...I can't believe what happened to your cousin!! How scary!! How is he doing now?? That is so awful!! I hope he does sue them, that is so awful!!

I think your chances of sneaking into IOA after hours is about the same chances you had of doing the CM soft opening for EE!! ;)

I love your Mickey-head print dress!! So wonderful!! I need more Disney clothes like that, where it's not just in your face BAM characters. (Though I do like and own those!) I just really like the stuff where it's like your dress.

And now I'm current!!

We really do need to go to Disney together!! It'd be so fun and I would be more than willing to venture to Margaritaville with you!! ::yes::

I'll have to start doing all those rewards sites for real to start saving for my trips too!! I just don't know when to start a ptr. I'm thinking once I'm officially booked!! I'm so glad I have your ptr to look after for saving tips and other fun things!!

I have never seen The Fighter, but apparently I'll have to!! Goodness, we even have the same favorite actresses. Emma Stone and ESPECIALLY Reese. I love her. I was so happy with "This Means War" because it has her (and Chelsea Handler) in it! (P.S. I watched The Soup last night and thought of you!)

I think the key to people liking "strange" foods is frying them. Not that I think shrimp is strange, but I don't think anyone would like calamari if it wasn't fried! (I still won't try it). And it definitely helps ease people into new food items. Hmmm Idk anywhere at Disney that has popcorn shrimp. Maybe at Cape May Cafe?

Lol your "office" sounds like...our living room. We have no shame. When Garret was growing up, instead of getting him toys and fads that he would outgrow, his parents would get him and his brother all the really nice, usually signed sports pictures. So we have those everywhere...we have multiple baseball walls, a couple hockey walls, and a football wall. Plus there's one basketball picture. With Patrick Roy's hockey stick is a picture of Garret's hockey team with him coaching, I'll have to have Garret get it down so I can send you a picture of it sometime. I can't reach! :upsidedow

I miss you too! Let's plan a Disney trip! I think we are FOR SURE going in November 2013, because that's when Garret wants to go. I'm sure if I fought him enough, he would relent to different dates, but the more I think about it, the more I want to see Christmas stuff. I checked dates for this year and there will be MVMCP's and the Osbourne lights will even be going the dates we want to go, so I think we'll be good! Have you ever been around that time? Because you should. Like next year. K thanks.

And I'm on the next cruise update and you convinced me that I need to rent points again. Time to start researching now. And begging for someone to let me use their points.

Ahhhh the Sailaway Party looks so fun! And yes! I do like the nautical gear!!

I think I would like Lumiere's more than Triton's for the same reason!! Lumiere's just sounds so much more upscale. I love how it sounds...super fancy. And I'm obviously excited for the Be Our Guest restaurant, but that name is weird for it because it's like a phrase. Hopefully since there will be signage, no one will be this dumb, but what if the CM's were like "Welcome to Be Our Guest" and the person was like "Don't you mean 'you are welcome to be our guest'?" Or in the description, they'll have to come up with a new creative way to say "We invite you to be our guest at the new Be Our Guest" restaurant!! Bottom line: Lumiere's is a better Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant name.

ANYWHO...hope you enjoyed my 2nd novel!! I'm all caught up now, so now I'll have regular sized posts!

Hey girlie!

Great pictures, and it looks like you had a great night on the ship!!
That drink looks super good you were holding!

OMGosh Kimmy. :rotfl2: This is why you shouldn't disappear from the DIS for so long!

Loaded coronas/landsharks are delicious. We use lime tequila (which is super hard to find in NJ but Margaritaville makes it) and you just open up the better, top it off, and there you go. So good!

I forgot about the Pirate & Princess party! I actually went to that and had a blast! The fireworks were amazing.

I've never been to Via Napoli! This will be the first time. I've heard nothing but great things about it so I'm happy to hear it's your favorite restaurant in Epcot. Sangria is a MUST!

The drinks on the cruise were pretty good! Some were stronger than others and the prices really weren't all that bad. Coming from the NJ/NY area, the drink prices on the ship were actually cheaper than some of the bars around here! So I can't complain.

I think there was another parking lot on the pier but if not, they would've redirected people to garages on the street. Which is TERRIBLE because after waiting in so much traffic, I would've been livid to have to go back on the street to find parking. So I'm glad we got a spot!

My cousin is doing much better. I saw him last week and he has to wear a brace & gets tired easily but other than that, he's good. He got his stitches out yesterday and we're going to a concert together Saturday so that should be fun!

Yes we do need to plan a trip together! I think we'd have so much fun and I could introduce you to the wonderful world of Margaritaville. I want to go next year but I don't know if I'm going to be able to. It may have to wait until 2014. You know where I REALLY want to go? Aulani. I've never been to Hawaii and Hawaii + Disney = love. I get a disount on the room portion and the airfare in April/May is decent. I've heard that's a good time of the year to go. I can dream can't I?

The reward sites add up quickly. I have around $30 sitting in I-Say, $23 in Sunshine Rewards, $10 in my survey, and $22 in Ebates. I'm going to wait until the last possible minute to cash everything in so I can put it in my Disney fund. I'm hoping to grow those totals even more between now and then.

Ok people at work are starting to give me the stink eye because I'm just ignoring the phone and replying to you! Gonna go now!

Hey girlie!

Great pictures, and it looks like you had a great night on the ship!!
That drink looks super good you were holding!
Sweet tattoos! You guys are so hard core! hahaha ;)

Can't wait to read more!

The first night was a blast! I'm going to post about the second day soon.

I have real tattoos too. They're of the sun & the moon so not hardcore but they're real.

Hi everyone! I've been complete crap on keeping up with TRs & PTRs so I do apologize. Work has picked up quite a bit lately & I haven't had time to update. When I go home the last thing I want to do is look at a computer so I obviously don't sign on from there. Work is going to get even busier because I found out today that a girl in my department just gave her two weeks. In the middle of our busy season. While our boss is on vacation. My boss is probably going to freak when she gets back. It sounds selfish of me but I hope this doesn't effect our Saturday schedules. My boss wants three of us here on Saturdays during the summer and now there will only be 3 of us so does that mean working every Saturday? I don't really care about that because I only have one more scheduled Saturday off this summer but I do have to leave early on August 18. I have concert tickets for a show in Hershey (boy band palooza..NKOTBSB, 98 degrees, The Wanted, LL Cool J...and Kimmy Gibbler?) and it starts at 5. Hershey is 2-2 1/2 hours away and I usually get off work at 3 so I would not make it on time. I have to leave at 1-1:30 the latest. I hope she doesn't freak out over a couple hours. My boss is nuts FYI.

Anyway, I will have a cruise update soon I promise. But right now I have a question. Does anyone know if you put the ME tags on your bags but don't actually take ME will they still take your bags? We're going to have a car and we can take the luggage but I thought hey why not let ME do it? Has anyone ever done this? TIA for any feedback.

Anyone have any fun plans this weekend? We're going to a concert at PNC with my sister & cousin (the cousin that got mugged..he got his stitches out & is doing much better). It's a blast from the past: Marcy Playground, Lit, Sugar Ray, Everclear, and the Gin Blossoms. Should be fun!

Update coming within the next few days I PROMISE!
