Awesome trip report so far! My family along with 10 other family members will be at the MNSSHP on 9/30. I hope it's not too crowded.

subbing I am booked for the August weekend cruise and am debating if to go DH says its a bit much for only the weekend cruise I REALLY want to go and take my girls so hoping your report seals the deal we also live in NYC so we'll drive right up the piers

We went and saw Brave on Friday! It's so good! They also show a trailer for Monster University! I'm SO excited to see it!

I love that DCL allows you to bring alcohol on board! That may be the selling point it'll take to get Ben to try a Disney Cruise!

Yep, as long as it fits in your carry on. I think you can even bring a soft sided cooler.

The weekend cruise was short but definitely worth it! We had a blast. There's more to come soon

Yes, I was surprised because it IS Disney after all. They say you can't have it in public areas but we just poured it into a water bottle & used that to top off our beers.

Hey guys. It's been a week with no updates. Sorry about that. It's been a rough couple weeks since the cruise and I haven't felt like writing. I just have a lot going on and if & when things return to normal, I'll continue with the cruise TR.

On a happier note, we are now in double digit territory - 94 days til Disney World! On Saturday it will be exactly 3 months away. I can't believe it's approaching so fast. I haven't posted much about my Disney fund lately but thanks to my client Barb, I've come up with a way to add a little extra cash to it everyday. She's giving her son money everyday that is equivalent to their daily countdown. For example, 100 days remaining, he gets $1, 99 days he gets 99 cents, etc. He can put it toward his Disney spending money. So I've been doing the same thing to pad my fund. Every little bit helps! Imagine how much you could add starting at your ADR date. Or even a year out!

Does anyone have any plans for the 4th of July? (Or Canada Day to my friends north of the border?) My cousin is having a BBQ at his house and he went overboard buying fireworks. They're illegal to purchase in NJ but luckily PA is just an hour away You would think me & my cousins are pyros with the way we set them off. Should be a fun day!

Ben and I really do want to go on a cruise! I think we'll have to book one someday! I think it might be a good 5 year anniversary thing or something!

I'm sure it's hard to get back into the swing of things when you get back from such an awesome get away!! I know i would be depressed! haha

A town about 10 minutes away from here has a parade and a little fair on the 4th, so we'll probably go to that! Then that have a big fireworks display--we'll see if we can make it all day in the heat! haha I'm super excited though! It's usually a good time!

144 days 'till our trip! You are a lot ahead of me now since I had to move my trip, but it's still quickly approaching!

Alright... So your giving yourself money for however many days it is to your trip had me curious.... So I used excel and did the math... If you started at 365 days out you would have $667.95 for your trip! Starting at 100 days you will add $50.50.

Cool idea! Especially for kids so they have their own money for the trip!!

To be honest, the only thing I saw about the Rangers was Marty Biron being re-signed. This weekend was nuts. I knew Prust wasn't going to be re-signed because I follow him on Twitter & he made a comment about how he wished management wanted him back as much as the fans. I loved him! Now it'll only be Boyle & Del Zotto doing the handshake after wins.

Wow, thanks for doing the math! An extra $50 is a nice chunk of change, especially if you'd be giving it to kids for their own spending money. I may have to start at the year mark next time. That's an awesome amount!

As long as neither one of you is prone to seasickness I think you'd really enjoy a cruise! It is what you make of it. You can run around the ship doing all the activities scheduled for the day or you can just relax by the pool until dinner time. I love cruises.

I was planning on having a cruise update for all of you today but life got in the way. This weekend was just insane. My mother, grandma, aunt, sister, & cousin all went to Atlantic City on Saturday. Kris & I had to work and were thinking of driving down after work but decided against it. My mom, grandma, & aunt left around 10:30 PM to come home and my sister & cousin stayed. I woke up around 7 the next morning and had 8 missed calls and 4 voicemails from my sister. She had gone to the restroom, come out, and my cousin was nowhere to be found. She had been alone there since about 4AM. She had no way or getting home so I had to drive down there & back to bring her home. We just assumed they had a lot to drink and he wandered off & they got separated. It turns out that my cousin was pulled into a stairwell by someone who attempted to mug him while my sister was in the restroom. The guy pushed him against a wall that wasn't really a wall, just sheet rock. My cousin fell 10 feet, was knocked unconcious, and fractured his back. He came to and a woman in the parking area noticed him & called 911. He's in the hospital awaiting surgery. He cracked 4 vertabrae and has a concussion. He'll be in there a few days and has to wear a back brace for the rest of the summer. All things considered, I'm glad he's okay. He could've been paralyzed or worse. I just can't believe this happened. I'd appreciate it if you all kept him in your thoughts.

Other than that craziness, I had a good weekend with Kris. We went out to dinner on Saturday, hit up a beach bar for a few hours, & played skeeball at one of the local boardwalk places. On Sunday afternoon we went to the beach & swimming in my mom's pool.

I can't believe my ticker is now displaying 2 months. I'm choosing to ignore the 4 weeks part.

I will post a cruise update sometime this week when things calm down again.

Ben has decided that we need to start playing tennis--neither one of us have really EVER played, and he has never talked about tennis for the whole 6 years I've been with him until Saturday!
Let's just say, we are HORRIBLE at it! hahaha It must be pretty comical to watch though!
Ben gets more of a workout out of it than I do, though, becasue he hits the ball over the fence and has to run to get it! lol

That is too crazy that your trip is coming up so fast! I'm so excited to hear about it!

WOW what an evening, how scary. I'm so glad he's going to be okay, but man! And it's so sad it was just assumed that he left bc he was drunk! I am glad he was found and is in recovery (sort of, waiting for surgery!). What a weekend!
