I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Kris got me the Disneyland Kinect game but we have yet to play it. The game arrived on time for Christmas but the Kinect didn't. We're hoping it's there by tonight so we can play. One of my gifts from my mom was a Disney gc. That'll help pay for my DDP or ticket.

Good news! I can do a double digit dance. 99 days until I can make ADRs!

I got a little letter from DCL reminding me that I can start the check-in process soon. "Soon" means March 17. Which actually isn't that far away if you think about it...

So I'm looking at airfare and it looks like it's cheaper to fly back on Monday, Oct 8 rather than that Sunday. As of right now, it's about $90/person cheaper. So I'm toying with the idea of staying an extra night depending on whether the airfare fluctuates or not. Continental is currently the only airline who has released their fares. I'm waiting on JetBlue because I'd rather fly with them. We're probably going to buy the airfare after we get our tax refunds so we have some time to decide. If we do stay an extra night, I'm going to ask Lynn if it's possible to rent the points from her for one more night so we don't have to switch resorts. If not, we'll probably stay at Pop, even though going from a deluxe to a value is a huge bummer! But it gives me an excuse to check out AoA. Plus with my TA discount, I can get a room there for about $65. As always, I'll keep you posted on that development

We had a wonderful Christmas, thanks for asking! The build up takes forever, but once it's here, it just goes by way too quickly!

Yeah, flying out on Sunday is always so much more expensive! I hope you get to stay at AKL one more night-- switching resorts is always a pain and moving down to a value would make it even worse!!

I know what you mean. I feel like they start the Christmas season the day after Halloween and then it's over in the blink of an eye. I'm still sitting here like 'Really? It's over?'

I checked to see if it was cheaper to fly out the night before but it wasn't. I wouldn't mind staying at a value & then moving to AKL but the other way around is crap. I think I'm going to email Lynn and see if that would be possible incase it's what we decide to do. No harm in asking!

And I noticed that a lot of us are celebrating birthdays! Add Jake and I to the birthday list

He will be turning 5 years old on September 23 and I will be turning 25 on September 29th.

First and foremost...

Exactly 9 months from now I will be in Disney World!

I think Kris and I are going to watch the Disney Parks DVD tonight to mark our monthly countdown. After the Rangers game of course

I don't think I mentioned it in my last post but I got Disneyland Adventures for XBox Kinect as a Christmas present from Kris. I can't believe how lifelike Disneyland looks! Even the garbage cans are in the right places. It's a fun game, even though it makes my arms tired. Last night I played and danced with the princesses & conducted fireworks.

Savings have been slow because of Christmas but I did make a deposit to my Disney Fund today. $19.84 bringing the grand total to $459.58. $1,540.42 to go.

A New Year's resolution I made was to pay off my CC debt this year. I have about $1300 owed (I owed way more than that in 2011 and paid some of it down - I'm a shopaholic!) and am hoping to have it paid off by the time we go away. I'm on the Couponing to Disney boards and have a ticker going for that in my siggy so I can track my progress & stay motivated.

Does anyone have any plans for NYE? Kris and I are going out to dinner with a few of our friends and going to a bar afterward for drinks & dancing. It should be a fun night. One of his friends knows someone who is a cab driver so they will be shuttling us around all night. No worries about drinking and driving, I promise.

Now to figure out what to wear....

And yes Jenny and I will both be turning 30 on Oct 5th! Love it!! Doesn't Disney help take the thought of being THIRTY away? Just a little bit? LOL.

I had a crappy 29th (went to work the horror!!) and told DH I am never working on my birthday again, AND that I *should* be somewhere awesome instead.

Anyway getting off track...hope your New Year's was great Jenny!

I was off the week of my 29th. I don't work on my birthday. I've stuck to that for years. Just say no to working on your birthday.

And yes, Disney does take the sting out of it. I'm really looking forward to my 30th!

The Disneyland game is so much fun! I played the other day and flew with Peter Pan and fought Captain Hook. I love that you an interact with all the different characters and help them out with their quests. I really hope they make one for all of the Disney parks or at least MK in FL. You can come over and use our Kinect if you wanna make the trip to Jersey.

Happy New Year everyone! It's 2012! You know what that means right? We're going to Disney World this year!

I really can't believe our cruise is just over 5 months away. I remember when I booked it and we had a year and 2 months to go! It really did fly by. I can check us in and make our Palo reservations March 17! Here's hoping the rest of the wait flies by but that time magically slows down while we're on vacation. Isn't it shameful to wish a whole year away??

My NYE was fun. Kris and I went to dinner with some of our friends and about 10 other people at this place called Char, an upscale steakhouse. It was yummy! We spent about 2 hours there and left around 10 to go to this bar called Willie McBride's. It's two levels - the upper level had a band and there was a DJ downstairs. We hung out downstairs most of the night and they gave us hats & noisemakers plus champagne at midnight. It was a good time! I was happy we spent it with some of our good friends.

Kris and I went to the Devils/Bruins game last night. I'm not a fan of either team but the tickets were free so we couldn't pass them up! We were behind Brodeur about 20 rows back, great seats. The Bruins are the lesser of two evils so I cheered for them. I was happy the Devils got their butts kicked. As their fans were leaving the arena after the 5th & 6th Bruins goals, I was waving at them saying 'buh-bye.' I'm such a stinker

Speaking of hockey, did anyone (besides Heather ) watch the Winter Classic? All I can say is, my Rangers are kicking some hockey butt this season!

Work has been busy lately because 1) we were closed all weekend for New Years so there's been a flood of people in the past two days because of that and 2) it's Disney month here at AAA! Lots of people coming in for that. I did four Disney quotes yesterday! I hope I get some bookings out of that We're holding a Disney night on Tuesday. The reps for each resort come in plus the DCL and Adventures by Disney reps and make speeches about each place. Then clients have the opportunity to speak with us and book their trips. It's a fun event and I'm looking forward to it (and the extra hours that come with it Disney Fund!)

I know what you mean! It was a super busy season and it just flew by. I'm not complaining, one month closer to my trip

I wish you could go too! Is anyone on the thread going the same time as you? Maybe you could plan a DIS meet with them? It really is a huge coincidence that we're all going to be at Crystal Palace on the same day!
