Cruising--which hotel?

We are coming into Orlando one day early for a cruise. I am hoping to stay at POR but my husband would rather do something closer to port canaveral. Anybody have any suggestions?

We're cruising in Sept. We've looked into the following (but ultimately decided to stay at a disney resort):

We are cruising in February and also plan on arriving early. But for the night before the cruise we booked the Marriott Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral.

It gets great reviews and also includes a free breakfast. You could always visit Kennedy Space Center for the day.

We are paying $179...but that is for a 2 bedroom with a kitchen. They have smaller rooms I think which would probably be less.

Thanks for the info. Exactly what I was looking for. HeatherC., which cruise and when are you going? We're leaving on 2/24 on the Mariner of the Seas.

Luvdmouse - We are also going on the Mariner. So excited!!! We went on the Navigator a few years ago and can't wait to see how her sister ship compares. We've done a few other cruise lines...Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, etc., but just love the Royal Caribbean Ships.

We are going February School Vacation week....17th-24th I think. We convinced most of our family to come. There are now five families with a total count of around 25 so we are really psyched.

HeatherC- That's so much fun. We have conferences the last week in February, so we are going at the end of the month. Right now, we are just two families, but there's always room for more. If you decide to add an extra week of cruising, I'm sure there's always room. It's our first time on Royal Caribbean. We got tired of Carnival and wanted something different.
