If I decide to take the kids on a cruise without DH, are there any special documents that I need?

Also, if he needs to sign something that I can take them w/o him, is it something that has to be for a specific date?

A few weeks ago I called DCL and asked about taking DS myself if DH decides not to cruise. They said as long as we are not divorced no special papers are necessary.

Last Sept. of 2001 my kids and I sailed with other family members without my DH and it seems like we were told someone where along the line (maybe from our TA) that we needed a notarized statement. So, my husband typed one up stating that it was fine for our children to leave the country without him and he had it notarized at work. It was easy to do and just a little something extra that made me feel better. Since I've started doing some traveling without him I find that I feel better if I have all my ducks in a row. I'd rather be overly cautious than get there and not have what I need. Good luck and Have Fun! ;)
