Cruising The Canal May 1, 2015 (Roll Call in Post 1)

I am excited too. Just trying to contain it. Ok I will admit not looking forward to the lonely nights in wavebands, but I'll get over it

Well most of the time people are in bed by midnight. Not me. Hey if anyone else is a night owl like me I would love the company.

Sadly I am not a night owl nowadays and have a hard time getting to 10pm. Early dining, up to room for chocolate and toilet break and then a walk around the ship spending some time watching character photos in the foyer. Back to room and ready for bed! My husband stays up later but my medication doesn't allow me to. I am sure there will be quite a few folk down there as there is a younger age range onboard the longer cruises these days.

I am an early riser...so I am not sure how many late nighters I will be pulling, but the alarm clock will be set each morning 45 minutes prior to sunrise to I can get to the gym in time to watch the sun come up from my run/workout.

I'm excited but I'm also elbow deep trying to move in a couple short weeks so not much focus on the trip right now. Got this other stuff to get thru first. :)

For those interested, post 5 of the thread has been updated with a list of all the group events and the times/dates.

I'm a rather early riser too. If I make a single night to midnight it would be a miracle. However, I'm looking forward to gaining 3 hours due to time-shifting. Rather than losing 6 like on my EBTA.

Thank you for what you do Jo.

I love the gaining time and hate the opposite. Especially on the Eastbound Transatlantic when it is 5 or 6 nights losing an hour. I seem to spend days in a mist of tiredness as it builds up. Plus there i also the jet lag that kicks in. Never as bad as with flying that direction but it is still there.

Hi all!!

Oh boy! I somehow wandered onto this site, and I havn't been able to leave!!

I'm new to the DISBoards (and probably have a lot to learn), but this will be my 3rd Disney cruise! I'm traveling with 16 people - all but 1 are adults, 7 different cabins- woo! it's going to be fun! I'm super interested in the pup crawl, the mixology, and cards against humanity - those are things my little group were planning, but how fun to meet new people too!!

Welcome to the group, if you want to take part in the private Mixology, you will need to let me have the full names and stateroom numbers of everybody who wants to participate ASAP as they need to be passed to DCL in the next week.

We have a great group - this is going to be a fun cruise.

I am so on the fence about the mixology. I did one once, private disboards, and it turned out to be a bunch of tequila based drinks. I can't drink tequila at all. It makes me sick.

Obviously there are no guarantees but there was no tequila at all on our last one. Only thing there was that I didnt like was shooter with Baileys, I let DH have that one.

I've done about 4 mixologies. 3 with Dis groups and 1 by myself and I don't think any of the drinks were tequila... hmm... maybe 1?

Is anyone following the stateroom renovations close enough to know whether they still look like they'll be finished by the time that we board?

According to the thread on the renovations it looks like they are down to one last floor so yes they should all be done.
