Cruising Sept 11, 2005 - All Aboard

Is everyone packed and ready to go?? We leave out on Friday afternoon to start our drive and we cannot wait.

Ok seriously freaking out now.
We leave Wed. (doing the land part first). DH didn't realize he needed a birth certificate (last time he cruised all u needed was a dl and they barely checked that), he goes to look for it and discovers it was part of the stuff that was stolen from him a while ago! Next, I tell him to look for DD's birth certificate cause he had it last, he swears up and down he never had it, so of course we can't find that either.
Finally, I decide to search for my trusty passport, do I even have to finish, NO I can't find it and no we haven't packed yet, why do i have to be a procrastinator, i swear it's a disease people, *sigh* the hunt is on.

I'll be at the meet & greet on Sunday (hopefully)

FirstTimer .. Wow .. what a last minute stresser! Keep us posted on your search for your passports, birth certificates, etc. Are you close enough to your state government office that issues your birth certificates to go down there and get same day service? As you overcome this, May the Force (and Mickey and Minnie ) be with you!

Wow, haven't posted for a while, and went to check today, and we have a meet and greet place set. I'll be there...
Can't believe we are 6 days away. No packing here yet!!! Have to make it through another work week before I can allow myself to be on vacation mode...
Lots of pixiedust Firsttimer, a local office of Vital Statistics can help you get birth certificate right there and then. Here in Florida we can just show up at the office and they will print out a copy. You just need to be born in the state.
No pirates here. Couldn't get the family to join!!!

We haven't started packing yet, but making a list. We leave Fri. checking the girls out of school early, so that we can get on the road. Spending Fri. night with family, then up early to get Cocoa Beach to hit the beach and go last minute shopping.

I got the whole party of 10 into the mood. We all tried on our costumes yesterday.. My 4 yr DS wants to put in on and wear it now Hopefully we are not the only ones dressing or I will be walking the plank!

Ok, literally have been searching since my last post and finally....


I found my birth certificate AND passport so I'll definitely be there
(DD and DH on the other hand )
no luck for them and DH claims he's the organized one, ha!

Anywho, he'll be making the treck down to our state capital for the b/c's for him and DD since they closed the ones for our county down due to allegations of fraud. Needless to say he's not too happy about that and proclaims that if the lines tooo long he's leaving (of course he's not, we leave on wed., so basically he'll just stand in line crying in agony ) As I type he's still holding out hope that he'll find it and is still looking, claiming he's got 5 good hours of search left in him

I know it's wrong but DH is the calmest person I know so to see him for the first time freaking out has me

I am glad to heard that you were able to find yours and your dh is able to go to your state capital. That will teach him to be so organized. Dh lost all of our birth certificates. Good thing for him we have passports.

Five days and counting for us here. No early trip to WDW or anywhere. It is a hard week to be at work and at school for the kids!!!

Hey everyone I finally made it on. I've been busy trying to get my house ready to move in. It's been a nightmere. Sorry about my crazy mother.

Finally started packing yesterday, getting excited now. we'll see everyone on sunday at the meet and greet. Have a safe trip.

Crazy mother??? Not me! Hey, if it wasn't for good old mom you all would be wandering around the ship looking for a Promenade Deck. And how do you all plan on recognizing each other? I know! I'll write "DIS Meet" on a piece of paper and tell Shannon to hold it up like they do in airports when someone is being met by someone they don't know. Do you all think I can convince her to do this? If not then someone better come up with a plan.

Will someone please buy Shannon a drink and tell her to chill out about her nightmere of a house? (Actually sweetie, that is spelled nightmare.) And it really isn't as bad as she thinks. Tell her to relax and enjoy her adorable daughter and their vacation. It will all work out.

OK, now you all have something to talk about...ME, crazy mother!

Hoping that I didn't spell anything wrong or I will never hear the end of it...

Run grab yourself a tickeet, Ragdoll, and come along. We won't even tell your daughter you are aboard .. it will our and your granddaughter's lil secret. Promenade Lounge at 3 p.m.

We leave in the morning for Florida to visit friends and get in a little sun before Sunday. We bought our bubbles today. Everyone have their bubbles for sailaway? I understand it is a tradition on Disney ships.

We have our bubbles.. Got the 2DS bubble blasters so they can really celebrate.

Hopefully TS Ophelia will get out of town before we sail. I feel bad for those having to sail out tomorrow from Port Everglades. Cross your fingers we will have great weather!

WOO HOOO DOING THE DOC DANCE!!!! DOc's Came Today!! We leave in less than 4 days is everyone ready to go??? Just a few odds and ends and away we go!! hopefully Ophelia will be gone by Sunday!

Plus we were able to book Palo for the first night of the cruise!!! By Some act of Pixie dust we were able to book it on DCL website!!!
