Welcome aboard! Good for you! How do your kids feel about staying home? We are cruising in October without ours - they know we are going away but I haven't told them we are doing DCL yet... I guess maybe I'll have to mention it...they'll probably wonder where all the disney souvenirs came from...

I'm telling my husband that we are just going to Disney and then going to surprise him!!!!
Otherwise he may tell me that we can't afford it....

I love the idea of surprising a husband like that. Usually only the kids get surprised. This is new to me. Ummmmm, I wonder what my husband would say.

I can't wait to go on this cruise!! I just found out that passports are not required yet!! So now my husband isn't going to have a clue at all!!

This passport thing has me confused. Everywhere on the Disney site and in my travel info it says you must have a passport.
I think I am going to get mine renewed regardless. I am not an American citizen and my passport expired in 2001 I just never think about it until it's time to go home. I haven't been home in too long

The rule for passports needed for cruising was pushed back to the summer of '09, but I believe that is for American citizens only, so make sure to get yours renewed! Where are you from originally?

Natale, the cruise is going to be such a cool surprise for your DH! I wish someone would surprise me like that! Have you decided how you are you going to tell him?

As far as he knows we are just going to POP for a week... little does he know we are only spending one night at POP. I'm going to make something up like I requested a room by the pool and they didn't give us one soooooo don't unpack your bags. I will have the bags transported to the Wilderness Lodge (I rented DVC points from my friend).
Shawn and Dexter are going to spend some bonding time on the little water boats and me and Skylar are going to check into the Lodge.
I'm planning on having dinner at one of the restaurants there so after dinner I'm going to say... why don't we walk around the DVC section?
Then we'll go up to our room (where I have already placed a big gift box on the bed.) I'll tell him, well lets go to our room... when he turns to leave I'll say, "our room is right here." In the box will be a few gifts and our cruise documents.

hehe no, but my PDD has been so bad that I have been watching this awful DCL CD for the last few days. Ohhhhhhh the pain.
I must admit, I have bought sunscreen because I wanted to make sure I had some. It's kinda difficult to find any here in Michigan mid-winter
