WOW! That means we could see our docs as soon as the end of next week!!!
This trip is really starting to come quickly! There has just been so much going on with my family that the days have just been blending together.

OMG!!!!! While I was writing this post I was checking DCL and we got an UPGRADE!!!! room number 2500!!! Cat 9!!!!

Hey I was just about to post that everyone the 1/25 had their rooms now & I see you got yours too! Cool - you got a great upgrade - that's awesome!

Pakey, did your family get their assignments too?

Yes, just checked and we got the last 2 assignments also. No upgrades but were not expecting them. At least the 2 youngest sons have rooms next to one another down there on deck 2; the other 3 rooms are next to one another on deck 6. No complaints here.

So our cabin remained as 6028 and our son/family who will be participating in the fish extender exhange are in 2009.

It does seem pretty real now.

Who else is going to be at WDW before we cruise? We will be at POR starting the 24th.

I am going to get busy with the FE gifts once my kiddos go back to school on Tuesday. Don't expect anything too creative from this group! LOL So Pakey you don't think the 17 year old would enjoy the same thing the littlest ones would?

Anyone have major food allergies we need to consider? Sure don't want to put anything in there that would cause problems.

we are flying down the night before - am still playing russian roulette with the airlines right now for flights - told my BF we need to book by mon night at latest - southwest is usually so great for us pricewise but they have been the most expensive! so have been checking expedia to see what they have --we were planning on flying down day of cruise and then after reading the boards and the crazy weather we have been having we decided to come down night before and stay at the hyatt at mco -

I am getting so excited that the trip is almost here!

And my dumb question for today....If someone doing the FE is upgraded at port, how will we find out their new cabin number? Can't imagine my cell phone bill if I tried connecting to check online.

Not so dumb. As cool as it is todo the FE ,no one wants to spend extended time searching for one another.
How about we do a final roll call maybe around the 21st (or agreed upon date)?
We leave on the 23rd as i have heard a few people are.

That way we will have all the original room #'s. If someone disappears from that room , we can asume they got an upgrade and inquire

We can either plan a dis meet for the first afternoon onboard or if there is not time for that, maybe if someone is upgraded, they could leave a little note in everyone's fish extender when they pass out their gifts?

Also, to answer an earlier question, no allergies in our cabin either

We will be arriving to the Beach Club on the 24th. That is 3 weeks exactly from today. In fact, in exactly 3 weeks at this time of day, we should be strapping on the feed bags over at AKL (some are eating at Jiko, some at Boma).

Nat, congrats on your upgrade. With two kiddos, I'm sure you can use the extra room. I hope my 2 sons who are in cat 12's do not complain. They opted to use the extra cash for excursions rather than upgrade their cabins (I gave them the choice). Actually, they are all so thrilled to get a free vacation that I would be shocked to hear any sort of mumbling.

Are any of the rest of you using DCL transfers to port? We are. I'm so afraid of where we have to meet the bus. Getting 11 people with all that luggage from BC to wherever we pick up should be interesting.

Cool! I have not been to Epcot since the first year it opened, so have been lurking on the theme park boards to get an idea of the must do's there. Any recommendations? We have a reservation at Coral Reef for lunch.

Hi Iris! I can't believe it is almost time for our trip - you're right - the ship has filled up! Have a great time at WDW!

Samily we love Epcot. My kids really enjoyed the newer Nemo ride. If you haven't seen Turtle Talk with Crush, make time to see it. I think it is really cute but we have done it several times and my boys have crossed it off the list for this year. The aquariums in that area are great too.

Test Track and the easy version of Mission Space are great. No way would I do the original version of MS. I would be sick the rest of the day.

We have a Imagination with Figment lover, so ride it several times. Ride it and you will be singing that song forever like It's a Small World but the ride is much shorter. Going to ride the remodeled Spaceship Earth. It was closed last year when we were there.

This year I am going to wander the countries even if I have to leave the other three riding rides. We haven't really explored them in depth so I am going to do that this time.

My two kiddos and my sister's two kiddos picked this park just under Magic Kingdom! They chose to go back there over MK one day.

We got our room assignments a few days ago and were upgraded from a 12 to a 9! Does anyone know if we will be getting shipboard credit for the fuel surcharge?

Samily, you are going to love Epcot! Its my favorite of all the parks. Just be prepared for lots of walking as its a large park. Be sure to try the free sodas at Club Cool and visit the bakery at Norway! Those are must do's for us We may not make it to the parks before this cruise but I really want to. I hope all of you who do make it to the parks have a great time!
