Hi, my DH and I will be taking our first ever cruise on the Dis Drm at Thanksgiving, and I have a lot of questions... so any input is welcome!

We have never cruised on any ship so in general is it hard to get around with a scooter? Are the corridors too narrow if there are housekeeping carts in the hallway?

On the Disney Dream, are there any companion bathrooms? My husband needs help with the "plumbing" so I have to go in with him.

Is it possible for a scooter to transfer to the tender without my husband needing to get off and walk?

Is there plenty of handicapped parking at the Cape Canavaral port or will we need to be there early to get a spot? How safe are the vehicles if they are left there 3-4 days?

Are there areas that people on scooters can sit in the restaurants, theaters, etc. or will he have to transfer every time?

What is the weight limit for a person using the Aquaduck ( this is for me)?

Are any pools walk-in type?

Are there areas that are so congested that a person in a scooter should totally avoid going there?

We are in cabin 6570 which is supposed to be the last available handicapped accessible room in our price class, and is on the starboard side amidships. Is this a good spot to avoid fumes ( I have asthma) and engine noise, and is the likelihood of seasickness less?

Speaking of seasickness, what is best thing to bring to prevent? I have heard of scopalamine patches, would rather have nothing that makes me drowsy.

Would it be best to stay on the Dream when in port ... I am afraid my husband would be easy target for native entrepreneurs who might take advantage and we worry about general safety ...heard there was a fire at some point.

At the Disney Beach, would a scooter not be able to run on the roads due to sand? I could push the beach wheeled wheelchair only short distances... are there any 4 wheelers or golf carts that can be rented ahead of time? Is there
shaded areas with fans to keep from getting too hot?

I know these seem too picky but sometimes forewarned is forearmed.
