Cruising on June 28trh

samsma- alternate plan if sailaway is rained out. They usually have the party in the atrium so 1 deck up port side overlooking atrium(deck 4) okey dokey

you leave in a few days...i still have 4+ weeks to go.

I have a huge favor, okay a couple of favors...
1) Would somebody be willing to fax me or mail me your navigators when you get back in town. I have a 12 y/o and 7y/o and would love to see the kids activities too. Email me at MBFergie@aol.com and I will give you my address. Or if you give me your address I will mail you a self addresed stamped envelope. If you can fax you can call collect.
2) When you get back can you post what day is what in the dining room. There has been some confusion about that lately.
3) And post what day the charater breakfast is on.

Thanks and have a "Magical" time....

It will not rain! It will not rain!! It will not rain!!!

I'm jusy practicing my mantra for the sail away party. This is our first cruise as a family and we would be soooo disappointed if we didn't get to throw confetti and streamers like the did on the Love Boat. I'm even packing my umbrella to insure that it won't rain out our party. (This should work, because if I leave it at home, it will surely rain.)

OK Everybody now. It will NOT rain!!!!

We are just a few days away and we are very excited.

I'll join in the "Will Not Rain" dance. My MIL is getting out of the hospital today and the doctor said yesterday that I can go on the cruise. I have to stay out of the sun, no seawater and she would prefer that I just stay on the ship. So while this isn't exactly what I had planned in my complusive planning, it does mean that I get to go!! I will be easy to spot as I will be pushing around a giant high-chair so that I can rest. Of course the people who made it would be appalled to hear me call it that. Luckily it folds somewhat or it wouldn't make it thru the ship doorways. I tried to get it in Lime Green but for some odd reason that color choice just wasn't available.

See you soon!

MBFergie - be glad to do all of the above. I'm e-mail you when I get back!

Stewblue - I'm glad everything is a go! Don't worry I'm sure you'll be properly entertained on the ship. I'm just glad you get to go! High tea wouldn't be the same without you. We'd miss you!

Ok - crunch time and time for me to start panicking about completely irrational stuff. Forgetting my passport or documents, for one. We have a three hour drive Saturday morning from our house to the port. What if the car breaks down?

Me need BIGGGGGG drink with umbrella once on board. My gray hair is mutating at an astounding rate!

Everyone have a safe trip -- flying, driving, etc.

SEE YOU SATURDAY!!

Hey Army-
I can relate!!! When we prepared for our 1st cruise- I was in charge of all the planning. We had just been to Orlando the month before and I had seen a sign saying Port Canaveral 1 mile on right. I just assumed that the port (I never pay attention to a map so water not being near Orlando meant nothing to me!) was right there. Saturday of the cruise came and we got up at a leisurely pace and left around 8 am. We stopped at my parents house which is about an hour away from where we live- ate breakfast- took off again. When we got to Tallahasse- I realized that I had forgotten the time change- which put us at about 12 pm! By the time we got to Cape Canaveral- I had to take the rental to Avis. I swear if I hadn't of dropped my DH and DD off before taking the car over- we would have missed the ship- they didn't even stop me to check my ID. Also- my luggage (which I had since I was in high school) had not held up very well and the hanging bag zipper burst as we were unloading. My DH had to carry it on- embarassing to him plus the fact that we were seriously late and everything was rush rush (which he hates!). Everything got better once we boarded but the night before we had to depart- I packed everything- busted another zipper which my DH sewed up so that they would take it and we didn't have to carry it off the ship. The next morning I had not left me anything out to wear so I had to wear a gown over a pair of denium shorts with gold shoes from the night before! We were a sight - coming and going!
Needless to say- we bought new luggage when we got home and I always overpack and even write down what I am wearing everyday for every occassion. We also drive down the night before!
Now- you should feel better- it can't be as crazy as our 1st trip!:Pinkbounc

You have all been so helpful over the past few weeks. I look forward to meeting you on the ship.

My dryer is buzzing and the laundry is almost done. It's time to pack. We leave Friday morning!!

Well we are packed and still speaking to each other!! I loved callahanjulie10's story. It really helped to know that there are others who lose track of time and location.

See you Saturday.

I picked up all of my daughters things from her Mom's last night and got it all in one suitcase, wow!!! After work today it is last minute packing and just going over everything one last time. I will have a few hours in the morning if I need to get anything done. TGIT! Thank goodness it is Thursday!

PS - One thing I love is how each of our countdown clocks are slightly different yet they all end up eventually at the same place and time!

Yikes!! I have so much to do and so little time!!!!!!!!! Anyone else feel the same??? Just wanted to type in last time to say have a safe flight and/or drive to the port and I'll see you all on the boat!!!!!! You have been a great group. And to think I've never joined a message board before!
