Never.Has anyone ever had anything stolen from their luggage or luggage not making it to their stateroom?
i've had things taken from my luggage in the past and i've read of people missing things from luggage before or after a cruise. we've not experienced that with DCL in particular, but I am sure it happens.
Yes, had something stolen from our luggage once on DCL the last night. We learned to not pack anything in the luggage that is or looks valuable. They opened the suitcase, looked through, found what they wanted, and recluse it. We didn't find out until we got home (driving, so no one had access to it except the crew).
Did the crew pick up your luggage as soon as it was set out in the hall? Just wondering if another passenger could have helped themselves to your valuables before the crew picked up your luggage. If I were driving and didn't have to worry about TSA I would probably lock my luggage.
BTW, I've heard of kids going down the hall and shoving ice cream into luggage while it's out in the hall. Another reason to lock it up.
Maybe in case you might be dog allergic. You could have the bag wiped down before touching it.Nothing ever removed from my suitcase on DCL, but once found a notice (yellow stick-on paper with a dog's face on it) that it had been sniffed by their security dog. This was
stuck on the outside of the suitcase when we received it after embarkation.
Always wondered why they felt the need to do that as you would never have known the difference but I did save it as a souvenir! lol
Why don't you use TSA locks?

OR, they want to be sure that people are aware of the possibility, so they advertise.Good thought Schmoo - didn't think of that. Then again, can't believe security would be that concerned over the remote possibility.
But the pen is mightier than the zip tie when there is zipper on the luggage.I zip tie my luggage before I put it out, if they are been broken I know that someone has been in it
very true, but at least it will slow them downBut the pen is mightier than the zip tie when there is zipper on the luggage.
