Hi!

Has anyone here cruised at the beginning of December? Can you please tell me how the weather was, and if there were decorations and holiday happenings onboard? Thanks!

We cruised last Dec. 8th and are again this Dec 7th. IMHO it is the best time to go! The ship is beautifully Decorated - great for getting those christmas card shots. Then weather is perfect-especially since it is snowing and cold back home!

We're going the last week of November (get off the ship on the 30th) and I was concerned too. Then I remembered all the wonderful Thanksgivings we spent with my parents in South Florida -- 75- 80 degrees and dry (what a bonus!) almost every day. I figured the weather in the Carib can only be better.

The weather was in the 80's but the sun is so strong there it seemed much warmer. The coolest thing was being on the veranda at 10pm in shorts and it was still 80 degrees!

We cruised in mid-Dec last year. The weather was perfect. Of course, anything beats the 20-below windchills we get in Minneapolis that time of year.:jester:

We cruised on the Magic the first week of last December. The weather was warm, but it rained in St. Thomas (could happen any time of year) and the water was a little cool for us, living in St. Pete, as we do. Not cold, just a little cool. The weather at Castaway Cay was perfect, though.

I've been on the early December cruises the past two years, and as others have said, the weather is generally wonderful.

We did get a cold and rainy day in Castaway Cay two years ago in December and last year we endured a driving cold rain on our catamaran ride from St. Thomas to St. John. But overall the weather was quite good. :D
